la Montre Verte City Pulse Pollution Detecting "Green Watch"
Here is a cool idea that is more than just a concept, but actually being done right now. Pictured above is the "Green Watch" and it is part of the la Montre Verte City Pulse project currently taking place in Paris France. It was started by the FING (Fondation Internet Nouvelle Generation) The project's goal is to create a system to measure air and noise pollution in urban centers, eventually learning how to create environmentally sustainable cities. There are currently three prototype Green Watches being worn that have air and noise sensors. The watches collect information and use a mobile phone that the wearer has to transmit information back for the database. What you get is map as seen below that measures in extreme detail the areas of the highest noise and air pollution in the city. The project aims to have 1000 Green Watches in Paris that will constantly be measuring the environment. Ive had a lot of watches... and i mean a lot so the excitement wears off pretty quick and im on the hunt for the next one for the collection......I bought a brand new Speedmaster last week (big box set, perspex lens) and i honestly cant stop looking at it. Look at my sig and you will see ive got nice bling watches(as far as bling goes) but this thing is comfortable, light, and just all round spot on.... i never thought id go to my watches in the morning and pick anything over one of my subs but right now im reaching for this and loving it.Changed to a nato last night and today just had to share lol!
Excited to join the Patek Philippe club!
I would like to introduce myself to the Patek Philippe forum. I had an extra special Mardi Gras this year, with the arrival of my Nautilus 5713. I know that some are not fans of diamonds on a man's watch but to me, it gave the classic Genta design a wow factor that is even better than I expected, now that I have it on my wrist! I believe this reference was introduced around 2008-2009 and has since been discontinued (does anyone know when?). I am also interested in knowing roughly how many of these were produced? I look forward to learning from you all and to contributing to the forum for years to come!
Got a call for a new 116610LV
I spent the last week going to ADs looking/begging for a hulk but no luck. Today I received a call from a jewelry store that had one just in from a customer for $10,660 ....My options:1- buy it for a premium. 2- wait for my AD to call in 2 weeks for $9,460. 3- wait for the new year maybe prices will go down? The problem is that I'm on 3 lists already, and I don't know if I will receive one yet especially if I let this one go to another guy. What if I pay they premium ($1,300) only to receive a call a couple of days later Appreciate your input
