In-Depth: The Original Lange 1 Compared To The New Version For 2015
The Lange 1 is a watch that isn’t just iconic, it’s a watch that is so iconic that saying so is one of the biggest clichés in watch journalism. Cliché it may be, but it is actually true – though interestingly enough, when the Lange 1 first debuted, it was considered a very innovative and even controversial design. It’s a testimony to just how effectively A. Lange & Söhne, all the way back in 1994, hit the sweet spot for enthusiasts in terms of combining traditional Saxon watchmaking design cues with a fresh approach to dial composition, that the Lange 1 has in the subsequent decades become one of the most recognizable, and also the most imitated, watches in the world. One alters an icon at one’s own peril, however for 2015, A. Lange & Söhne did just that: the firm introduced a new version of the Lange 1 (hard on the heels of the previous years’ update to the Datograph, another one of their most beloved models). The new
15202 ST vs 15400 OR
Long time lurker, first time poster.I am stuck in a enviable dilemma - I was offered the opportunity to buy a 15202 ST brand new from an AD, which I have been eyeing for years. However, I recently tried on a black dialed 15400OR on strap and also fell in love with it (a 99% second hand one). The 15400OR is a bit cheaper than the 15202 as well given that it's 2nd hand vs. brand new. My collection consists of a Jarno Trulli ROO, a 26320ST and a Rolex Sub. The JT and Sub are my daily wearers (I alternate days with both), whereas I rarely wear the 26320 as I find it a bit heavy and cumbersome for my 6.75 wrist. The 26320ST will be sold off once I pick either of these two. I really want to add a PM watch to my collection - but I feel that the 15400OR could be a bit too flashy for my lifestyle. On the other hand, while I like the bracelet of the 15202 very much, it is perhaps a bit too delicate for my lifestyle - and also partially killed my enjoyment of the 26320ST.Any help would be appreci
Forged Carbon 15706AU vs Ceramic Diver 15707CE
I found a very good price on a mint FC Diver 15706AU with 1 year extended warranty. My first preference was the ceramic 15707CE, but this FC is $6K less than the few ceramics I have been able to hunt down worldwide. My wrists don't handle the 44's and of all the 42's this is the lightest and sportiest I could find for use at gym, beach, activities etc. I hear the debate on FC and some of the issues with it, and honestly that is my only hesitation vs ceramic. Colors are fine on both. Yellow strap will be a definite accessory.I went through the whole lineup of AP 42's and these two are the finalists. Can any FC diver owners help put my mind at rest with the FC case?Or should I just wait and keep looking for a ceramic (and pay more).I am not holding my breathe that Basel 2018 will bring back the CE or FC diver... Though it would be niceCarbon-Diver.jpg

Does anyone own/wear only one Rolex?
I only own one Rolex. Why? Mainly because I don't have a lot of disposable to spend a lot on watches. :^) I decided a couple of years ago to save a little bit each month to put towards the Rolex fund. After several months, I had enough to pay for my new OP!! I don't regret buying this watch and it has been with me everyday whether it's in the office, in the woods, or fishing on the river. I don't baby it (too much!) and plan to hold onto it for a lifetime. Is there anyone else out there who only owns or wears ONE watch everyday? If so, let's see it!Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
