Breitling Basel Preview: Avenger Seawolf Chrono Blacksteel Limited Edition
At Baselworld 2010, Breitling will unveil a special version of the Avenger Seawolf Chrono C the only chronograph that is watertight and fully operational at a depth of 1,000 meters or 3,300 feet. The new Blacksteel limited edition features a 45.4 mm steel case sporting a black carbon-based treatment. The standout feature however is Breitling’s patented magnetic pushpiece system. This system, a Breitling exclusive, activates the chronograph controls through the metal of the case, without any direct mechanical contact. This approach circumvents the Achilles heel found in traditional chronograph cases – the holes in the case and the mechanical pusher-movement interface. Breitling’s unique system eliminates the holes, allowing this chronograph to function at extreme depths. This diver’s chronograph is also equipped with a decompression valve and a glareproof sapphire crystal for optimal readability. Breitling’s SuperQuartz caliber provides a level of accuracy
Cartier and America Exhibition in San Francisco Starting December 19
The Cartier and America exhibition covers the history of the House of Cartier from its early period as the king of jewelers and jeweler to kings during the Belle Epoque through to the 1960s and 1970s, when Cartier supplied celebrities with jewels and luxury accessories. Derived mainly from the private Cartier Collection housed in Geneva, the more than 200 objects on display include jewelry of the Gilded Age and Art Deco periods, as well as freestanding works of arts such as the famous Mystery Clocks, and of course iconic Cartier personal timepieces The exhibition marks Cartier’s 100 years in the United States and it focuses on pieces worn by Americans, including a pair of rock crystal and diamond bracelets worn by Gloria Swanson in the movie Sunset Boulevard, Daisy Fellowes's Tutti Frutti necklace, and an exotic panther brooch purchased by the Duchess of Windsor.Private lenders in the United States and France have contributed significant pieces to the exhibition. Christophe Claret Poker Watch For Luxury Wrist Gaming
Less than two weeks ago watches-dealer previewed the newest mechanical gaming watch by Swiss Christophe Claret. Able to play a full game of Texas Hold 'em, the Christophe Claret Poker is the most complicated mechanical gaming watch this or any other watch manufacture has ever produced. As we previously mentioned, this is the third and perhaps final in a collection of limited edition ultra-luxury "toy" timepieces meant for whimsy and fun, and the exploration of all that can be done in a time wrist-worn mechanism. It all started with the Christophe Claret Blackjack 21, but did you know that it was not what he intended to release first? In fact the Poker was to be his first gaming watch but it proved a bit more complicated than his team anticipated. So back in 2011 Christophe Claret released a watch that played Blackjack which would eventually lead up to the Poker watch piece now in 2014. We have yet to see the piece hands on, but look forward to giving you a full hands-on review after Mr.

DD 40 vs PP Aquanaut Jumbo
Good day, TRFers.I've been enjoying this Aquanaut for years. Love the size, style, build, sapphire casebook, history and versatility.Just acquired this WG DD 40 and am really loving it. For essentially all the same reasons (except the caseback of course).Which do you prefer? Should I flip the old PP and just move forward with the DD?Thanks for your thoughts, as always!
