New Ressence Type 3 Watch With Oil Temperature Gauge
While the meaning of unique is so watered down that it challenges "in-house" for sheer over-use, I have trouble thinking of a more appropriate way to describe Ressence watches. I would be surprised if anyone reading this wasn't aware, at least visually, of their Ressence Type?1 and Type?3 models which, in living up to the brand's tag line, have evolved "beyond hands." Announced just ahead of Baselworld 2015, Ressence has reworked their Type?3 model to include a temperature gauge to monitor the oil that fills the upper case element.Much like the original Ressence Type?3, the new Type?3 is 44mm x 15mm in size with a three-part case that is essentially two sapphire domes mounted to a titanium spine. The spine also forms the lugs and can be had in matte or polished finish, each with a DLC coating. Thanks to an extensive use of titanium, the total weight of the new Ressence Type?3 is just 75g, mounted on a leather strap with a matching titanium buckle. The magic of the Ressence Type?3 design
New Nomos Alert: Introducing The Metro 38 Datum, With An Updated Dial And Larger Case Size
Today, Nomos announces an addition to their line of crisp, contemporary Bauhaus-inspired watches: the Metro 38 Datum. The changes are subtle, but they make for a clear delineation between the original Metro and this new version. There's no longer a power reserve indicator on the dial, facilitating the shift of the Nomos insignia from 9 o'clock to 12. Additionally, the case diameter has increased just a bit, from 37 mm to 38.5 mm with a thickness of just 7.75 mm. A Cleaner Update To The Original Model 2 OF 3 The Nomos Metro with in-house Swing System escapement was first?introduced at Baselworld 2014. The removal of a slightly off-center power reserve indicator results in a dial that is cleaner than the original Nomos Metro (above) introduced last year. From an aesthetic perspective, the design is more harmonious with Nomos' time-only models, like the Tangente.Painted dots at 3, 9, and 12, which were once sea-foam green in color, are now rendered in
At least you don't look like the guy standing in the middle...
I am working this week in my companies vendor booth at the Arizona Bar Association Annual Convention. I normally wear a sport coat to these deals but since it is only slightly cooler than the surface of the sun here I wore slacks and a polo shirt yesterday. For background...We are a legal document services provider (process service, court filing, research etc) along with being a private investigative agency who specializes in skip tracing and asset location so law firms make up the majority of our clients hence the attendance.I am standing there and a well dressed attorney walks by our booth and asks what we offer for services and I go into my schpeel. He stands there nodding his head then goes Business must be pretty damn good for you! as a statement, not a question. I say yes, it's petty good. He follows up with, It must be better than pretty good. I didn't realize process servers made so much money to afford an AP (I was wearing my RC) and continued with, damn, if I had known that
114060 has arrived
My fourth Rolex in less than three years arrived this morning -- a brand new 114060. I think it's my favorite. And I can't post photos because I can't figure out how to post Photobucket links here. Sheez!!!
Sub C bracelet play/wiggle.
First of all hello! I'm new forum member and this is my first post (have been lurking around for some time though). I'm also a new Rolex owner since I got my very first Rolex just a month ago. So there's that also. Now to my question. As I said it's been a month since I got my 114060 brand new from the AD. I decided to not baby it since it is a tool watch in the first place and I have no intentions to sell it. But like every new thing I buy, I take some time at the beginning to figure out for all possible defcts, manufacturing mistakes etc. Just to be on a safe side.I have noticed that my bracelet has a quite visible (probably not as bad irl as in my head) play / wiggle between endlinks and first links on both sides. When I move the bracelet at that specific location, it is clearly visible that the play is present. Is that normal or should I show it to the AD just to make sure? I know I'm probably OCDing at the moment but I don't want to find myself in a situation where my 7000+ watch h
