Linde Werdelin Oktopus 1,111 Meter Dive Watch
Another new watch for Linde Werdelin in 2009 is the Oktopus. Building on the Biformeter watch case and theme, the Oktopus is a beefed up version of the models in the already sharp looking Linde Werdelin watch line. This is also the first dedicated diver's watch for the quickly growing brand featuring a rotating diver's bezel and integrated helium escape valve. There is also the little matter of the 1,111 meters of water resistance, that is over 3,300 feet! Almost a mile underwater at this point you are simply adding a wow factor to the watch. Even though you'll never go that deep, it does comment strongly on the secure construction of the watch, as well as the thickness of the metals and sapphire crystal used in its construction. The original Biformeter case profile was surprisingly thin. I discussed the watch at length in my review here. The Oktopus case is thicker by 1.5mm making it 13.5mm high (still not bad). The case is 46mm wide and 49mm tall. That sounds large, but it is real

Going from AP - PP - need advice!
Alright - let me set the stage slightly - i'm generally a flipper...grab a watch at a good deal, wait for someone who wants it for more, make a couple bucks, and flip again.. it's been good to me. 5 years of flipping and I've got my RO for the cost of an old beatup sub I picked up for a couple K. I've now gotten into reach of getting to the Grail - a PP. Ideally a Naut. (Worst case a Calatava or an Aqua) having read these forums for years now.... 1. Aquanauts seem to be generally just looked at as a you couldn't afford a naut eh? - is this a general thought process, or is this just a thought process for those with Nauts? 2. Am I better to save that last bit so with a flip of the RO and one payment go right for the Naut, or get the Aqua or Cala in the mean time... Resale seems so tight on PP I feel like I won't be able to gain off a flip3. Maintenance - It seems staggering..Is this the case or are people hard on their watches?if the 3 is true... don't' get me wrong, I do pretty well...
Hulk Acquired
Reached out to my AD earlier this week on the timeline involved with obtaining the LV. Turned out they had one in route and it was mine if I wanted. Said yes and picked it up today! So stoked to add this piece and very lucky to have got one so quickly. Here it is with my BLNR and 1675. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Jubilee Possible for OP 39mm?
I would like to replace the Oyster bracelet on my 114300 Oyster Perpetual 39mm with a Super Jubilee Bracelet. Is this possible? The lug width is 20mm I'm thinking a DJ 41mm Jubilee would work for the following reasons. The DJ 41mm is actually only 39mm and has a 20mm lug width. Even if the fit is not perfect, would this possibly work?I'm open to either the newer Jubilee, the older Jubilee, or possibly even an aftermarket as a very last resort.Thank you for any suggestions and advice.
