JeanRichard 2TimeZones Watches
JeanRichard is having enough success with their well-designed line of Diverscope dive watches to merit an on-going stream of limited editions. Here is one of my favorites. They rename the watch the "2TimeZones," add some complications, and make the case out of zirconium. I think there are 2TimeZones watches that aren't in Zirconium that I took images of below. Why zirconium? It is a lot like titanium, but not titanium. Need I say more? The watch is not only a 2 time zone watch, but also a nifty world timer. One that genuinely wants to be a better world timer than the rest of them. I like how the main time and second timezone are actually totally different in style. That way you don't mix the two up - something I would personally be prone to doing. This is probably my favorite second timezone watch that I've ever checked out.The dial has of course the time, a small window for the date, then below it one for the time zone reference city. Titanium pushers on the left side of the case move
A space age way to look at the time...
Yesterday, I walked into Feldmar's, a truly great AD in Los Angeles. Browsing the Breitling display case, I spotted a handsome Navitimer...Not just any Navitimer, but a limited edition Cosmonaute, a tribute to the 50th anniversary of the 1962 Mercury mission in which Astronaut Scott Carpenter orbited the earth three times aboard the Aurora 7 capsule. During that historic flight, he wore a manual wound Breitling Navitimer, but with a 24 hour display. The 2012 Cosmonaute is a also manual winding watch, with Breitling's own B02 movement and a 24 hour display. The Aurora 7 insignia is engraved on the case back. This particular Cosmonaute had the black leather strap with the deployment clasp. Very handy and extremely comfortable.Around 1973, as a little boy, I stood at my father's side in a New York City Jewelry store on the Upper West Side while he purchased an Omega Speedmaster Professional. My father showed me the engraving on that manual winding watch's caseback---which proclaimed

Thinking about returning to Panerai...
I have had 2 Panerai watches in the past... a PAM 049 and a PAM 088. I sold both watches years ago, but I have always felt there was a void in my collection since they have been gone, a void that no other watch brand, really, can fill. I am therefore seriously considering re-entering the world of the Paneristi. I am deciding between the PAM 359 and the PAM 422. I LOVE the size of the 422, and the fact that it is hand wound with the power reserve on the case back, not the dial. I just wish it had a date window. The 359 is gorgeous, has the date window, but the size of the 422 is what is really pulling at my heart strings at this time. I have tried both on, and the 422 sings to me a bit more, so I believe that's the watch I will choose. I typically buy my watches new, at an AD. I have never bought a Panerai at a Panerai boutique. Question for you all: Would the Panerai boutique offer any discount on a new watch? Should I even bother asking? Planning on making the purchase very soon, with

Gents,Recently bought a 16600 SD and it is awesome! I pulled the crown out today to set the date and time after not wearing it for a week and the time setting to the last position of the crown only clicks. The hands will not move. Almost like the bezel is rotating sound. Any thoughts on what this is and how to get er fixed? Thanks Gents
