Finally picked up a Radiomir
After missing a nice 210 on the board three weeks ago I was on a mad hunt for another Radiomir. Couldn't find one for the same price/condition/full set anywhere afterwards, but patience has never been a stong suit of mine. In the meantime, I started looking at the 380 but wanted my last Panerai to be a sandwich dial.Found this 232 by accident, but the seller's pics weren't so hot and of course sometime in the past the prior owner changed out the original strap and buckle. Pretty much wrote it off. I had been talking with Mik, and he convinced me to have another look. The seller provided more watch pics and sent info on the books, boxes, stickers, warranty card, and other pieces. Made an offer, and was very happy at what was delivered.Really have to thank Mik for his generous help. Without it I would have never ended up with a 232. This forum is full of such great people. Apparent Rolex Strategy and Predicting Basel Releases
Looking back at the last two Baselworlds, I can see at least one strategy or pattern in Rolex vis-a-vis Rolex sports models. Is Rolex trying to drive a stake through the heart of the Rolex vintage market? I think Rolex is using Tudor and updates to select Rolex models to erode demand for vintage models with the most buzz: e.g., Tudor has an obvious vintage motif, the datejust with jubilee, SD with red lettering, and now Pepsi with jubilee. What says TRF?
Daytona model number question
The Rolex Daytona in yellow gold with brown ceramic bezel and brown leather bracelet which model number is it? I was seeing photos of 116518 but the bezel is black and the bracelet black and other material. Maybe the same but I'm not sure.And the official list price ?? Thanks friends.
