Accuracy and consistency of AP ROO Diver (Ceramic Black)
Hi all,I recently purchased a ROO Diver Ceramic (Black with Orange markers). I have worn it daily for the past month and over the past two weeks, I have been observing the accuracy of the watch using my iphone clock as a reference and noticed two things that seem a bit odd to me.Firstly, the alignment of the minute and second hands.I have noticed that the second hand and the minute hand do not necessarily line up at different times of the day. (i.e. the second hand at the 12 o'clock position when the minute hand is at the minute markers). Some times, they would be aligned perfectly and at other times they can be off by as much as half a minute (i.e. the minute hand is directly in between two minute markers but the second hand is at the 12 o'clock position). The second hand is also about 10 seconds slower over the same time period. However, I do not think that the second hand being off by only 10 seconds is a big issue.Second, and what I believe is the bigger issue is the accuracy and co
What happened to the 5131 175G?
There was a great looking 5131 for the 175th anniversary but it isn't on the Patek site and there doesn't seem to be any news of this ever coming out or not coming out. Does anyone know what happened to it?
A one less seen... PAM498
Have been in Vegas for the last few days and noticed that they had a PAM498 Fu 1950 case at Tesorini inside the Bellagio... Thought it was odd as I thought this watch was only available in the Asia market and would think it has been sold out for a while at only 1000 pieces. Anyways, was able to persuade my old man to finally join the Panerai family by acquiring this pretty unique piece. Goes well with him and his old Chinese ways lol. Here's a photo of this beauty,
Rolex Limited Edition Turn-O-Graph
Maybe this has already been covered somewhere else on this forum?I was at a Rolex boutique in Tokyo on Saturday and they showed me two Turn-O- Graph watches they said were limited edition models for Japan only. They were priced at around 934,000 yen each. They had a white dial Turn-O-Graph with green Turn-O-Graph lettering and a green second hand; the other a black dial version. The lady with whom I was speaking said there are 300 of each being produced for sale. I tried on both versions. I have to say they looked great. My scanner is not working properly, so I took a few pictures of the photo cards she gave me. I also grabbed a photo off of a Japanese web site.
Christmas present for the wifey
She's an awesome lady, so I bought her this watch, we saw it a while ago in an AD window, she loved it.
