Pre-SIHH: Richard Mille’s New Caliber CRMA1 and RM 037
At SIHH in Geneva next month, Richard Mille will introduce a new in-house caliber, the CRMA1. It represents an original concept by the Richard Mille movement designers in Les Breuleux, Switzerland. The movement will debut in the new RM 037 Automatic, which features a patented crown mechanism integrated in the case. Find wallpaper inside. This automatic winding caliber created from skeletonized grade 5 titanium sports an oversize date at 12 o’clock and a function window at 4 o’ clock. Two subtly shaped pushers are located at 4 and 10 o'clock. The pusher at 4 o’clock allows one to select the winding (W), neutral (N) and hand setting (H) functions with a simple push. An aperture located at 4 o’clock shows the function selected. The second pusher, at 10 o’clock, controls date changes, useful when traveling or for correcting the date when required at the end of the month. The RM 037 is fitted with a new crown mechanism, patented by Richard Mille. Speedmaster Professional Resting Position Time Regulation
Hi guys,I played around with my speedy pro and tested its timekeeping precision based on resting position. For anyone looking to speed up or slow down your speedy, I figured this could be helpful. My testing methodology: The watch was fully wound and then timed against the Time.gov atomic clock at exactly 12:00 pm each day. The watch was then left to rest in the given position below, untouched, for exactly 24 hours until 12:00 pm the following day when I timed it against Time.gov again. This was done for three days in each position, with the watch being fully wound before each subsequent timing. It is important to note that the timing was exactly the same for all three positions on each of the three days (very accurate movement). Below are my results.Dial up: + 2 seconds Dian down: - 4.5 secondsCrown up: + 12 secondsCrown down: + 4 seconds Hopefully this is helpful for anyone trying to self regulate their speedy pro!!!
Patek Papers Question
HeyNew to forum so thanks for help. Looking at buying a PP 3940 from reputable dealer of used Patek watches. The papers on this watch have the name of the prior owner completely blacked out with a black marker. I have never scene this before. Lots of threads with info on no papers, or papers with no names, but I couldn't find any answers to this question: Is it ok that the papers have the name of the prior owner blacked out? Does this affect value? Is this normal on the Patek resale market for privacy reasons or something else?Appreciate any info that can help. Thanks!David
