Artya Watches E-Commerce Store Now Open
Artya watches finally has released their online e-commerce store. The brand started by Yvan Arpa has been making polarizing art timepieces for a little while now. They have been talking the web shop for a while, and it has finally been launched. Why is this good? Well in addition to giving fans of their work a convenient place to not only buy and peruse their available items, but it helps people better understand what they do, and how their art keeps evolving. Artya makes only piece unique watches and does not release press releases for each new model. So going to the site is an excellent way for collectors to see what is new and how much things cost. The average price of Artya piece unique watches is about $4,000 - $7,000.

I feel like I've come full circle with AP...
So for those of you who know me, I've been absent for a while from the forums. I just felt like doing a braindump on my past year with AP watches, if you are bored without any football or golf to watch, take a minute to read.Around this time last year, I posted a question about what would be a good first AP. The overall look of the watch was the same regardless of what kind of lighting situations you had etc., so at the end of the day, the watch always looked the same.At heart, I don't like consistency in that respect. Omega in "Killing Kennedy"
My copy of this months National Geographic just arrived this morning and I was having a flick through it while I had lunch.On the inside back cover I noticed an advert for a new National Geographic docu-drama called Killing Kennedy staring Rob Lowe. In the ad he appears to be wearing the square Omega that Kennedy made famous...I can't tell whether it's original or the re-issue but at least they're making the effort.After the Argo debacle, with Ben Affleck wearing a Rolex Deep Sea throughout despite the movie being set in the seventies, it's nice to see producers looking at watches and trying to get it right!

fake speedmaster 3513.50
I recently purchased (as in last week) a Speedmaster 3513.50 from a grey market dealer. I took the watch to an AD and he commented that the color of the luminous material on the hands appeared dark. I got on ebay and looked at some of the auctions and found the same model watch where the hands appeared darker. After looking athe pictures of the auction I noticed that my watch has the EXACT same serial number as the one in the auction. I take it that these are both high end fakes?
