Survey Of The Vacheron Constantin Overseas Sport Watch History
The Hour Lounge is a serious enthusiast oriented forum dedicated almost wholly to Vacheron Constantin watches. If you ever have a questions about? Vacheron Constantin watches, The Hour Lounge is the place to go. I've enjoying talking with their members on occasion who I can easily say know far more about Vacheron Constantin watches that I do. The forum moderator Alex Ghotbi, has recently posted an extensive photo essay on the history of the Vacheron Constantin sport watch - basically the Overseas. What is now the range of Overseas watch models started as a unique angular cased watch in the 1930s.? You'll noticed the finely milled case looks incredibly modern, and you'll understand where the Overseas watch got its iconic looks. Over the 20th century the look of Vacheron Constantin watches slowly evolved, but retained mostly the same character.Alex dispels the myth that the famous ref. 222 Overseas model from the 1970s was designed by Gerald Genta. It was actually created by Jorg Hysek.
Should, over
Well, I have been a member of this forum for a few years and i have learned a great deal. In that time I have had a number fine watches pass through my hands, everyone was purchased with info obtained from members here just by reading posts, what an amazing resource. Each watch I purchased was absolutely what I wanted and on arrival it became my new favorite. Waiting on delivery was always a small pain as I am not the most patient man, but tonight is awful!I have traded my last (current, I'm sure more are in my future) Rolex and am anxiously awaiting delivery of my first AP, a ROO RC black dial, sorry so long and mostly rambling but I can't wait and really needed to share!
Navitimer 125e
shot I took of my navitimer 125th anniversary. Love this watch
Does this look legit?
Am looking to purchase this 3572.50 but the case back doesn't sit well with me. Now, I don't have much experience with this model but when I compared it against other photos of 3572.50 case backs, this one looks quite a different. For one, the lettering is significantly off-centre.. secondly, the notches look off (shape and size a bit different). The seller is reputable and insists that it is legit. What do you guys thinks?
PAM 111 vs. PAM 112
Hello Everyone!I'm about to purchase my 1st panerai and I'm deciding between either the PAM 111 or PAM 112 but still can't decide. I'm leaning towards the PAM 112.Both the 111 and 112 have the sandwich dial. The only difference is the PAM 111 have the seconds dial while the 112 have all the numbers, 12, 3, 6, 9Which watch is more attractive? Has anyone found the seconds hand useful in a panerai?
