Incoming RO 15300ST Blue Dial
I only recently (4 days ago) got a grey dial RO 15400ST, as part of my planned 4 piece collection (blue dial sports watch, grey/black/brown dial sports watch, gold dressier watch, cheap beater or Gshock). The original plan was to get a 15300ST blue, PP Aquanaut 5968A Chronograph, and a PP Nautilus 5712R within the next 3 years. However after seeing and touching the 5968A Chronograph and other PP chrono's they didn't really feel that great to me personally. I just felt like chrono is a bit of a meh complication on a high end watch since I would never take the PP on a spartan race (Gshock).Spent ages looking for the 15300ST blue dial, found nothing. No dealer or reseller on my continent had it, went on chrono24 only 2-3 ever listed at meh prices or already polished.Walked into the AP boutique to see if they had a 15202ST blue dial 3 year waitlist but loved the 15400 grey dial. Got it for my dark dial sports watch slot.Today just as I was leaving work, I saw in the window of a reputable 2n
Super Avenger moving in-house
Link to Breitling's IG for image, more details to come apparently tomorrow:https://instagram/p/BaHHHJoBMrt/What do you think?I'm a bit bugged they keep having an open 4 on the bezel when all 4s on the dial are closed. They've done that for years. I think asking for coherent fonts on a luxury product like that should be the least of things. Anyhow, otherwise quite promising, no?
New Info on Dark Side of the Moon
Just heard from an Omega Boutique that the watch will be available in January for roughly $12,000. I can't vouch for the accuracy of the information, but I thought I'd pass it along.
Having an extra 5711/1r with trade idea
Hey gang,So in searching for my first Patek a 5711/1r (and buying it at a fair price) I have since found another that a dealer worked really hard to get me. Wanting to reward the dealer and build a relationship etc. I plan to buy it.Is it reasonable to think that I might be able to trade it for a 5990? Would that even be a good trade? Seems a new 5711 is worth 45-48. Is that about right? Thanks for helping a newbie out!Justin p.s., will be at Basel next Friday night if anyone wants to catch up....
Patek 5167 price consideration (Sell rolexes for a 5167?)
Hi guys.I know the topic may be discussed before.I consider to sell off some of my new Rolex++ to acquire a PP or a AP. I have had AP 15300. Very nice watch, however, it was not 100% new and I needed cash at that time. Now, I tend to like new watches since I am getting older and consider to keep my watches - mainly Rolexes. Is it a good idea to sell new SubC 114060 and a nice VC Overseas 42042 + add cash to acquire a PP5167 or a AP15450? (My other Rolexes are keepers, since SubC is easiest to get again later.)5711 is better compred with 15450, however, the price of the 5711 is insane. How can PP price 5167 with rubber and less complicated case more than 15450 (and the 15400)? The 324 is less complicated than 3120 as well. Yes, both movements have their own issues (Non hacking, date change issue vs jumping min hands when time set, 3Hz). Just because the brand name? I know PP sounds better than AP, but how can we defend a rubber 316L steel watch with less complicated movement costs more t
