Watches NEWS
Incoming...AP Diver
Just purchased a brand new AP Diver, special thanks to Takuya for a smooth transaction and great customer service. I started wearing it yesterday and I noticed its running about ~+12 seconds in 24 hours. Is that normal? Should I be concern or just monitor it for a few days before sending it to AP Clearwater for service? My 15400 is running much more accurate.
Omega in Space Video
I was watching this video and couldn't help noticing how loose he is wearing his watch. It spins around kind of funny in zero G. At 6:02 there is a nice closeup of the watch - a second gen X-33 .youtube/watch?v=7Qw0ykbOt6I
Ready to buy an Omega
Hello all--Like most of you in the forum, my love of wristwatches has led me here and I am ready to buy my first Omega. Have checked out my local AD here in my province, and they appear pretty firm on their MSRP's (-10%)--there is not a lot of competition here.I am looking abroad for a competitive price on the PO 2200.50 or a Speedy Pro--am also considering a used or NOS 2254 (if they still exist). I am hearing about a lot of AD's Stateside that are willing to deal. Anyone out there who can point me in the right direction?BTW--thanks to all for the information that I have been able to pick up here.Dan
Intro - New(ish) member and his two Omegas
Greetings. Just created my profile a few days ago, so thought I should introduce myself here on Omega, and share pics of my two Omega pieces. My Aqua Terra was my first mechanical watch. It was a gift from my wife while we were visiting the island of St. Martin in 2004 (wow, time flies). As we left the store with my new Omega on my wrist, I claimed this is the last watch I'll ever need, honey. Oops.A couple of years later, I noticed my Rolex AD was wearing a beat-up old Speedmaster one day. I bought it as-is, and sent to RGM for overhaul/restoration. Love my Speedmaster!
