At The Bench: The Restoration Of A Tudor Advisor (Reference 7926)
There are several reasons that most people should never consider bidding on a watch that has the words “as is” or “for repair” in its description on eBay. In addition to making me have to overpay for adventurous restorations, pieces like this trade at such a small discount that it is rarely, if ever, a cost effective way to get your hands on a great vintage piece. There are exceptions, but for the most part, for collectors this is a losing gamble. This recent adventure very well illustrates this point and shows off awesome vintage Tudor in the process. Question about face of watch on 2018 Submariner Date
Hi Guys/Gals,I just purchased my first Rolex! I went with the Submariner Date since I've wanted one for a LONG time, plus it's the most versatile watch on the planet. The only thing I don't like is that it's the most copied watch known to man, lol.For this reason, I chose to buy it from an AD (London Jewelers) so I can be 100% sure that it is authentic. My question is about the writing on the face. I noticed that the part where it says 1000ft=300m the = sign is tight with no spacing, but on Rolex's site, the picture of the Sub shows a significant amount of space between the numbers and the = sign. There is a video that I saw on youtube that shows how to determine a fake, and mine looked like the fake!!! (I'm confident that it isn't)My watch is supposedly a fresh batch 2018 watch. Did Rolex change the print style from 2017, to 2018 (and use the old photo on their site)? Or do they make several versions for the same year? Can anyone please explain why there are these differences in th
