Is the 1200m Ploprof wearable...
on 6.5 inch wrists ? I tried it on once (was wearing my behemoth OS 300m diver on the day) at my AD and though it was heavy it definitely was not too large lug to lug or so...it's thick though .I have had my share of large watches, however have preferred 40-42mm lately. This might be changing slightly again...as in these last few weeks I've been considering the SBDB001 600m Seiko (large motha***). Normally I am a bit impulsive and am actually quite amazed at myself that I didn't order a new SBDB001 from Japan yet !However I would like to consider all alternatives and also wait for Basel (I'll do my best ....) as I'd like to see the new releases from Seiko, Omega and Rolex. So what can you tell me about the ploprof? Is it wearable on my 6.5inch wrists...also what would the weight on isofrane (head only) be please? Please give me your opinions regarding the watch and post many pics if you have them !
comparing two icons
I just had a recent INCOMING, and I thought I would share some thoughts with you on my two Pateks: the 5712 1a and the 5167a.1. The 5712 has more wrist presence, the wider lugs and the tapering of the bracelet makes the watch wear bigger than it really is. The 5167 feels way more sporty and nimble. It is the perfect sports watch in that you don't know that you are wearing it compared to some of the monster watches that have a lot of heft. For this reason it the perfect activity watch as it less likely to get caught on things. Plus the rubber will make it clean up easier. 2. The 5712 does not make as much noise as the 5167. Not hearing the whizz makes me think, are you still working?! However it does take some time to adjust to the 5167 noise, if I was not a member on this forum, I would have been concerned! Now the noise is like an old friend. 3. The 5712 feels more dressy. However both have slim profiles that will easily fit under a dress shirt cuff. Don't get me wrong,
372 stopped working!
I was winding my 372, as I do each AM, when suddenly I could feel the crown rotating really fast in the opposite direction (against the winding direction)...I flipped the watch over and could see the balance wheel spinning like crazy and then it slowed, and finally stopped. Now when I wind the watch nothing happens...I turn the crown and then then it just turns itself back and the watch won't stop...

Travel advice - Colorado snowboard!
Hey TRF,I am looking for advice and experience of members here who love carving down the slopes in CO.I have 1 weekend (Sat + Sun only as we get in real late on Friday) in Denver. There are so many different ski resorts to explore - Copper, Arapahoe, Vail, Breckenridge etc etc. Given that travelling from Denver to the ski slopes takes time, which would be the best place for good snowboarding that wont hurt the wallet too much? Do you know if costco in Denver sells ski tickets? Also, has anyone been to the great sand dunes park & preserve in winter? Anything worth checking out? Thanks in advance!!
