Bond Seamaster - New vs. Old
Hello guys,I don't know how many Omega fans there are here, but I think they've got some excellent watches.Of course, I first saw the Bond Seamaster in a Bond Movie (The World Is Not Enough I believe) and I absolutely loved it! I said to myself: I'll get that one some day. I got a little scared when I saw how much money it would cost me though.Anyway, I now own the Bond Seamaster, but the newer model (quartz version, 2221.80 - go easy on me) and I absolutely love it. When I was at the AD to buy it, I had to choose between the old chronometer and the new quartz. It was pretty difficult. For practical reasons I went for the quartz. I held the watches side by side and noticed they looked pretty different from each other. Faint Scratch
Hi everyone,Hoping for a little advice on a few topics. Firstly I scratched the glass of my 5712R by banging it against something and want to know what to do. It's very very faint but is bothering me big time so want to know what the options are and ball park costs - I am not keen on anything DIY!Secondly, I would really like to understand service costs from Patek. Please feedback on various options (i.e. Polishing, full mechanical lube etc etc)Sorry for the basic queries but I am new to this!
Tip for swapping rubber straps.
As many will know sometimes it's hard to remove the screw bar from a rubber strap. I find that the small 5 Vampire Tools Vampliers (clever name haha) work wonders! Or just buy a load of cheap non oem buckles hahah.
Nato and spring bar
Do you guys use the oem spring bars when you put on your Nato straps? Does the Nato put pressure on the spring bars causing them to bend or come loose? Thanks.
