Tudor North Flag Watch In-House Mvment Baselworld 2015
No point in waiting, since one of Tudor's new-for-2015 watches has apparently been leaked a bit in advance of Baselworld 2015 - this is the Tudor North Flag watch, and I think we are going to rather like it. A picture of a catalog or magazine page with the Tudor North Flag watch has been posted by watchawrist (the personal Instragram account of fakewatchbuster) and I don't doubt that it is real. Tudor even has a trademark registration for Tudor North Flag. I also suspect that another 2015 watch from the brand will be the Tudor Wildcall - so we will see what that ends up being.Aside from having a dial that looks a lot like the lovely Eterna KonTiki Diver from 2008 complete with the same color tone and style of power reserve indicator, the Tudor North Flag is said to contain Tudor's first in-house made movement. Given that Tudor is owned by Rolex - who makes movements for all of their own watches, it isn't surprising that Tudor has an easy way of getting well-made in-house movements. Wha
Audemars Piguet Millenary Chronograph Watch At SIHH 2009
You know that I have been economically deluded by the watch world when I hear that a watch costs around $35,000, only to think, "that sounds like a really good price." Not that I can afford it, I just wouldn't expect an 18k rose gold-cased Audemars Piguet watch with an in house chronograph movement to go for that "low" of a price. I must have luxo-fever. But for $35,000 you can't go too wrong with this beautiful chronograph version of Audemars Piguet's lovely Millenary watch. The sorta asymmetric is not off-centered as it might appear. Two oblong circles overlap to create that interesting look that Audemars Piguet perfected. Though, the chronograph version does actually have some off-centered dials. The standard Millenary watch uses the two circles for the minute or the hours. This version uses the outer circle cleverly as a tachymeter. It is not the most elegant application of a tachymeter scale, but it works. The dial has everything in the right place, though it does come across as th
Limited Boutique Editions
I came across the montenapoleone edition the other day, and love it (I'm a sucker for green):.artvalue.fr/auctionresult...ld-4475058.htmI know the Don Ramon is another great LE. What others are kicking around out there that you don't often see?
Tried on the Diver!!!
So I went by an AP AD today and tried on a Diver. WOW! The guy got it out of the sealed plastic bag and put it on my wrist. I loved that feeling. No human hands had touched it after leaving LeBrassus other than the two of us. WOW!While I loved it, I wasn't expecting for the mega tapisserie to look so glossy and for the inner bezel to be so hard to rotate. Still liked it a lot. Looks like it's time to make room for this one and pull the trigger soon. Will keep you guys posted!Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk. Watches are the new currency!
