Strangest Conversation WithLocal AD
I recently acquired an H series ROO Diver. When I went to attach an OEM bracelet, I noticed that the prior owner was less than meticulous about turning the case screws holding in the plots. I called the local AD and asked about the buying new screws. The answer baffled me. I would have to drop off the watch and wait about 4 weeks for a quote. If the quote was accepted, the watch would be sent to the AP service center for a least several more months. For four screws? Even the technician was chuckling about this. I guess that I forgot how long it took me to get my last RO Chrono serviced for a poorly resetting indicator. That took the better part of 5 months. AD shenanigans aside, I love the watch. I guess that I'm spoiled by the local Rolex Service Centre here in Toronto.
Leather strap size
I have a speedmaster pro from moon to Mars. I would like to put a leather strap on it. What size do I order 18mm or 20mm. Thinking of purchasing a Hirsch strap. Thoughts please.
I finally joined the club!
Greetings all,My very first post here on this forum, that I so thoroughly enjoy reading, just to express my joy in having dipped my toe in the Patek owner pool having recently picked up a 5167/1A I Was a bit apprehensive about getting the bracelet, but it truly is a thing of beauty and really fits the watch well. I plan on getting the rubber strap later, but for now I am loving the watch and it will definitely not be my last PP.Thanks for looking.-R
5167R or 5167A
I love PPs. They are stunning and gorgeous. I really have an itch one. i can afford a 5167a now, but have to save for the 5167r (it could be several years). Given my collection (SS Daytona, SS milgauss GV and breitling SuperOcean on a rubber strap), what should I do?? I won't trade any of my current watches to raise $$.
