Last night in New York City, new TAG Heuer ambassador Tom Brady and CEO Jean-Claude Biver launched the Carrera - Heuer 01. The Carrera - Heuer 01 is a huge achievement for TAG Heuer – an automatic chronograph with a manufacture movement at a very attractive price. I know what you're thinking – not another celebrity brand ambassador, but it turns out Tom Brady is a real watch guy. LiquidMetal: does it live up to hype?
I currently do not own an Omega, but saw that at least one of their models has a Liquidmetal case. If someone owns one, I would appreciate feedback on scratch resistance and weight compared to Titanium or other metals.I visited the Liquidmetal website and naturally it placed LM above Ti, steel, etc. in all categories. And Apple has made several proprietary contracts with LM, suggesting the iPhone6 or another Apple device will have a LM case.But I was hoping to hear from an owner about the LM properties. And if it is so great, why aren't other major watch makers using it?Thanks in advance.

Can someone enlighten me on this? What's the attraction exactly? Is it because it was done away with that it's more appealing? Is there more to it...Looking at a newer 233 to purchase, but this dot dial thing has me a bit confused.thanks!

Just saw the new Rolex pieces for 2018. Probably the most talked about piece if the new steel GMT Master II pepsi bevel with the jubilee bracelet. My question is whether the watch is identical to the BLRO 18K white gold outside of material. In other words, would you be able to retrofit the new watch out with an oyster bracelet? Also, will this be as mysterious as the ceramic steel Daytona to obtain? I hear about these crazy waiting lists for the Daytona yet I see them all over instagram every day? Does every predict the new Steel GMT will be as elusive?Side note. The original root beer GMTs had a brown and gold bezel. Why the change to black and brown? Why not stay classic?
