AP ROO buying advice sought, from a Rolex fan!
I've fallen heavily for the AP ROO Navy Themes. OK, so I can get a brand new one in the UK for 12,000. I think this looks like an exceptional price. I am seeking guidance from the AP experts, is it? Also, am I losing something from the AP by this piggybacked movement, whatever that is?I have a 116613 as my daily wearer, so blue is really my colour. Well, I am a Mancunian, so it should be! The Sub is an absolute grail and keepr, so the ROO would join in to a 2 watch roration until I can afford something else!Michael.
I want to wear a diamond
Recently, as per a thread that I started in the other Watch Topic section. I was thinking of getting a Rolex DD. To do that I would have to trade one of my Pateks -5127R or 5167A.Well, after a lot of thought and reading what other members said, I decided NOT to go with that idea. But then I happen to see Jorge's photo of his stunning 5146P and I was in horology love:banged:And the thought of getting one - ultimate PM marked by a diamond at 6 o'clock got me excited. As I would have to sell/trade + cash both of mine. What do others members think?Bad idea or not? Please feel free to include photos, just to help
eur prices 5712
Can someone tell me the RRP for the 5712 in mainland Europe and what trusted seller / grey market price would be.Looking at Chrono 24 it appears little difference for BNIB sealed watch. Thanks
AD says 510 not available till September
I'm in Canada and tried finding out if the 000...005..111 and even the 510 and was told by the AD that none are available and the 510 won't be available till September. I thought the 510 was released last year? Shouldn't it be available. The only one they had in stock around my price range is a 113 but don't know if I can pull the trigger on my first PAM as a white faced one. Is the 510 really not available anywhere in Canada yet? I would at least like to track a 111 new from an AD. I always feel comfortable buying from an AD.Are there no discounts on any Panerai...or is it just the base models they don't discount? Thanks.
Are diving watches unpopular?
So today I stopped by a local dealer to order the SD 50th anniversary. This is a large dealer, they sell a lot of brands and have a lot of stock. I look at the Rolex display, with at least a hundred pieces, and not a single sub, no Sd's and only 2 gmt's ( I know technically they aren't dive watches, but they are tool watches and of a similar design) I was quite surprised...
