The WatchTime Q&A: Roger Dubuis CEO Jean-Marc Pontru
Recently, Germany-based watch blogger Zurab Zazashvili sat down for dinner and an extensive interview with Jean-Marc Pontru, CEO of the haute-de-gamme Swiss watch brand Roger Dubuis. In this Q&A feature conducted for , Pontru covers a variety of subjects, including the brand’s recent focus on skeletonization and its dedication to achieving the Geneva Hallmark for all its watches.WT: Roger Dubuis is still a very young brand. How did you successfully establish Roger Dubuis in a world characterized by tradition and histories? What makes Roger Dubuis different from other watch brands?JMP: The story of Roger Dubuis began in 1995 and the idea of [differentiating] ourselves was born at the same time. For everything we do, whether it's the concept for the product or the marketing or the people with whom we surround ourselves, we never use the standard profiles that are typical in the watch industry. We want to be innovative in every aspect. More than 700 brands make watches in Swit
ROC full rose gold new blue dial or ROC Leo Messi rose gold?
Hi guys. So a while back I decided that my next watch was going to be a rose gold chrono and I love the royal oak. So I narrowed my options to two great watches. I need some help from the RF guys with AP expertise to help me decide.these are the options:1. Full rose gold Royal Oak Chrono with the new blue dial.2. Rose Gold and Tantalum Royal Oak Leo Messi I love both these watches and obviously my immediate instinct was go with the Messi. Simple because its more rare and special, and its also slightly less pricey. Other advantages are its not as flashy.. which is like. However I'm hesitant simply because, in the watch collecting world, and I mean serious watch collectors... is it a plus to have a athlete limited edition watch? I dont know. Do hardcore AP collectors consider this watch as a more serious watch in comparison to the normal rose gold chrono with leather strap?( which is thousands of dollars cheaper)... Do you guys think it will hold value in comparison to the regular model
New to Breitling- Which one is it ?
Hello, I just came across this Breitling and after reading much about them I am still not sure which model it is. Any Help ?The back is marked 765 but it does not have a bezel on the face like most 765's I have seen. It is a screw on back.
PAM 510 "10 DAYS"...almost...
I'm really enjoying my new acquisition and my very first PAM. The new movement may not be proven yet, but it's off to a great start in my book. Watch ran for 9 days and 20 hours on a full wind (winds silky smooth too), lost about 11 seconds in the whole duration. The power reserve is impressive. Is that type of PR normal for PAM's other 8 days as well?
Drawn to the 116523 Daytona
I have found myself keep going back to look at the 116523 with champagne dial and batons with black\white sub dials Never considered a Daytona before although I think the Platona is a very beautiful piece as are the 500c,, I love the classic styling especially with black sub dials and although it would not bother me i would really like to know,, why there don't seem much love for this piece? That also seems reflected in its pricing,,,, Reply's much appreciatedSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
