Kazimon Drei Chronograph Titanium Watch
X marks the sport, or third time's a charm - either is a good way of discussing the new Kazimon Drei watch. A unique and highly functional chronograph that has so much to like, with out so much of a price. "Drei" in German means "three." This is not Kazimon's third watch, but the idea refers to the three subdials present on the dial. The standard for all 12 hour chronograph watches. I like that the watch is an interesting mix between retro and modern style cues. Let's look at the retro cues first.Look at the sapphire crystal, and you'll see that it is meant to emulate the raised and rounded look of an acrylic crystal, but it is in fact sapphire. You then have the chronograph pushers that are just like those seen on models from the 1940's - though very useful still. There is also the size of the watch that is 41mm wide. This might actually seem quite medium by today's standards, but is a good size for those many people who rightfully worry about watches that are too big looking on their
My perfect trio in picture
My collection, once I flip the ones I have now and get the 3 which will be for me the best trio possible, will look like this.1 week to wait for the Patek, 2 months for the Rolex, and within 4-6 months for the AP, I think that concerning my priorities; no straps just bracelets, SS no gold or platinum see through case back, ok not for the Hulk even though I can have one installed but won't because of water proof problems (living near beaches in Thailand makes it obvious that there will be a lot of swimming)images-7.jpegimages-8.jpegimages-9.jpegimages-10.jpegap15202jumbosihh2012-1.jpgAPROJumbo15202RJ.jpg
It is so scary to wear my Rolex in NYC subways!
So to be safe, I wear my Patek 3970P and 3970J. What about you guys? Which part of your city or which country makes you feel unsafe wearing your Rolex?
231 and 140 - Why the large price diff.?
Hi,I started looking at the 231 recently as I feel it's competitively priced, however I've come to the conclusion that I prefer the Luminor range over the Radiomir range...I just had a quick search on Chrono24 and the price difference between the 231 (the cheapest gold Radiomir) and the 140 (the cheapest Luminor) and the Luminor is almost twice as expensive as the 231.How come? Is more gold used in making the 140? (I've never worn a Radiomir, so not sure on size difference IRL)//nejo
Sea-Dweller 4k Replacement Spring Bars
Has anyone picked up replacement spring bars for their Sea-Dweller 4k? I've been searching the forum, but I'm not finding definitive answers. From what I've found they are double-flanged 2.0 mm thick x 20mm wide x 1.2 mm tips that fit in the lugs.People say to pick up The Highest Quality Swiss Made Spring Bars from Otto Frei, but the max tip size for the 2.0mm x 20 mm are 1.0 mm and they don't appear double-flanged. I've read that using too small of a tip can lead to damage in the case.I see that Everest sells some but they aren't double-flanged and they don't say what size the tips are. They're also $10.00 a pair!!I'd post links to both, but I've been a lurker for years and not an active poster so I haven't hit my 10 post minimum in order to post links.I'll ping my local AD as well, but thought I'd try here first. Thanks!
