Bring a Loupe: Chronometers And Chronographs From Rolex, Vacheron Constantin, Universal Geneve, And
The watches you see today in Bring A Loupe don't joke around. You can expect to find the aptly named Chronometre Royal from Vacheron Constantin with all its original chronometer certificates. No less precise is the Zenith 40T, a testimony of this manufacture's ability to reach extreme precision. We also bring you a full set Daytona, and a far-from-perfect Universal Geneve Uni-Compax. This is your Bring A Loupe for April 1, 2016. A Zenith Chronometre With Caliber 40T 1 OF 11 The dial of this Zenith reveals so much about this chronometer, even quoting the name of its caliber 40T in a very interesting script above the seconds sub-register. Zenith boasts incredible credentials when it comes to chronometer movements, its caliber 135 notably winning the chronometer competition from the Neuchatel Observatory for nothing less than 5 years in a row, from 1950 to 1954. Which is "the" Speedy to get and why!?
Hey all,I'm considering getting my first speedy and I can't decide what to get... 321, 861... the newest (whats it called? a 3057.50)?Please let me know your thoughts. What is the speedmaster to buy and why? Thanks!!
Let the strap madness begin!
Hello my fellow Panerai lovers, Think I over did it! I ordered a couple new straps for my PAM. When I say couple I mean 5Bought them from the same guy I got my first one from. Hopefully these are all just as good. Will be here in a week or so. Will post some pics once they arrive. But in the meantime here is a picture of the straps I ordered. Blue is my favourite colour! Wanted more blue but thought I'd just get these few for now
Costco Datejust 41
Was in Costco yesterday and saw a Datejust 41 2 tone diamond markers for $11,995. I know others had posted but it was the first time I had seen it. I sure was excited when I saw the rolex boxs from a distance. They had a datejust 28 2 tone as well for $9k
WG or Plat DD 36?
Probably going to pull the trigger soon on a 118239 or a 118206 either in addition to my 18038 or in lieu of it. Will be pre-owned. Price difference depending on the dial is about 25-30% for the platinum. I know this isn't an investment, but if I'm going into this arena, want to make sure I make a good buy.Love the fluted bezel on the WG, but love the subtle sheen of Plat. Anyone wanna share thoughts? Also, trying to do the Tahitian MOP. Is that popular?P.S. Does fluted bezel make watch look bigger on wrist? I can rock a 36 but I don't want to worry about it looking diminutive.
