Bremont Mustang P-51 Watch
There was a relative I had when I was a kid who saved up for years to buy something special. He was an unusual fellow, but he loved to fly. He worked hard to get a pilot's license and then was finally able to buy what he had his eye ona World War 2 era P-51. One of the greatest dog fighters ever, the P-51 Mustang is an American fighter plane that was introduced in 1940 - and he wanted one really badly. As a kid I wasn't really sure how to respond to the ex-military plane in front of me. Some guys want a vintage American muscle car, and others watch a plane with the same cojones. That was my first memory of a P-51, but to Nick and Giles English of Bremont, it means something else. The British aviation themed brand brings us a limited edition watch dedicated entirely to American and English superiority over the skies. What is the UK/US connection that makes the watch legitimate? The US sold many P-51s to England for use in the RAF (Royal Air Force). As such, the P-51 Mustang, in its many
A Look at the Seagull 1963
The Seagull 1963 is one of the more intriguing watches to come out, or rather be re-released, in a little while. It got a lot of attention from watch forums and fashion blogs because, simply, it's a great looking and affordable watch with authentic vintage styling that refers to non-Swiss watch-making history. Sure, if you are a watch-nerd, you are probably aware of the Seagull brand as a major manufacturer of movements and watches (including tourbillons), but you also most likely don't own one. The movement in your watch probably comes from ETA, Ronda, Miyota or Seiko (yes, making big generalizations, but wait for the point). Yet, Seagull, or Tianjin Seagull, is one of the 4 (sometimes said 3) largest watch manufacturers currently in business.? But, in the US at least, you wont find Seagull brand at your local jewelry shop, in big department stores or at most on-line retailers; at least, not in the open.Case: Polished StainlessMovement: Seagull ST19 19 Jewel chronographDial: Antique s
What??
Very unhappy, my diver never had the slightest shock, never, and just now I see that a small chip of ceramic between the bezel and the crown guard, basically the most protected part of the case, has gone off, in itself it is like a normal cut in a metal watch, it is almost not visible, because of where it is situated, but this is very disappointing since this is AP ceramic which is supposed to be 7 times harder than steel and it was never ever hit even moderately on something, and that part is so protected you have to take a very pointy chisel to make it, which I did not do, I suppose it is a construction failure, just hope there won't be any other... Not sure you can see it, it is basically in between the crown and screw of the strap, again it is the part of the case between the bezel and crown guard... No you see it, the small white mark just under the rubber image.jpg
