GIVEAWAY: Ritmo Mundo Persepolis Triple Time Watch
For April we have a very unique watch from Ritmo Mundo available for one lucky winner. This is the Ritmo Mundo Persepolis Triple Time. It starts with a huge 52.5mm wide steel case that has a middle section that "orbits" around to reveal one of two faces. The watch contains three total movements, each being a Swiss Ronda quartz. One side has two distinct dials each with their own time, and the other side has one time zone with the hours and minutes on separate dials. The architectural case has skeletonized lugs and an interesting style. Despite the large size, the Persepolis is quite wearable with the snug rubber strap and angled lugs. Retail price for most versions of the Ritmo Mundo Persepolis Triple Time is $3,600. Enter for a chance to win your choice of either the black or steel and gold tone Persepolis Triple Time watch below. To Enter You Must: 1. Inside The Manufacture: A Visit To, And Detailed Look At, Laurent Ferrier
I always like to begin my stories about Laurent Ferrier with the same fact. This man, who now makes some of the finest watches around, who also spent four decades of service at a little company called Patek Philippe, ultimately achieving the position of technical and product director, not only raced at 24 hours of LeMans in 1979, but actually podiumed, coming in third place. Who came in second? The team featuring one Mr. Paul Newman. So, no matter what you think of Mr. Ferrier's watches, he is, was, and always will be, incredibly cool. 2 OF 47 And about those watches. We've given you a diatribe or two on why we love Laurent Ferrier so much – see here for a look at the micro-rotor, here for a look at the new and improved tourbillon double spiral, and here for the just announced and about to be delivered dual time-zone Traveller. But just this week, while spending some time sitting in a Geneva hotel room, I decided to shoot LF a note and see if I could swing b
Nautilus Peculiar Scratches
Hi All,I had purchased a brand new double sealed 5711 from an AD in London not too long ago and had the bracelet resized at the AD.However, a couple of days later i noticed scratches on the link closest to the watch case - it looks as though something has run sharply against it. Upon closer inspection, I noticed another two of these types of scratches in between the very small gaps in the links i.e. on the top of the polished center link.I am confused as to how these could have gotten there. What type of tool does a watchmaker use to remove these pins as i can not think of any other explanation other than some carelessness in removing the links and the watchmaker somehow managed to get the tip of the tool perfectly in between the links to scratch them from the top.Sometime has passed now since i bought the watch however these scratches are still bothering me because they were not caused by myself and given where they are, i worry that even during routine servicing (and polishing) it wi
A nice walk in the park
and couldn't resist from taking this photo of my lovely 5127R. I have several nice watches in my collection but this one has not left the wrist for quite some time now. Sorry for boring you out.
My first...
After years of wanting/waiting it arrived yesterday. I was torn between date/no date and after reading numerous posts I decided I wanted the classic and clean no date. I couldn't be more pleased. Thanks for all the advice and thoughts helping my decision. Merry Christmas....Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
