Perrelet Turbine XL America Limited Edition Watch
Apparently the 4th of July comes a bit late this year as Perrelet has just released a very American watch that celebrates our stars and stripes. See, if the Swiss can love America I am sure there is hope for our economy. Just send some of those excess Francs you guys keep whining about."Boohoo! Our money is sooo valuable!" They truly are an oppressed people. This cool new watch makes me happy to look at and is a special rendition of the newer Turbine XL watch. Perrelet also released two special edition (also limited) Turbine (non XL) watches that I will discuss in another post. What is exactly is up with the comically buff Uncle Sam? Why is he so pissed off? And who does our patriarch of patriots wish to punch? At least we know he puts on a Perrelet when getting pugilistic. The Turbine XL America (see more stuff here) is 50mm wide in DLC black coated steel (ref. A4015/1). Archimede Has Two Classic Pilot Watches You Want At Good Prices
Classic pilot watches were designed to be legible in all light conditions and worn over a flight jacket. They needed to be tough and really clear to someone who was wearing goggles. Companies such as IWC and Glashutte pioneered the designs, and since then many others have taken the look in many directions. These two new PVD coated "Black Pilot" watches from Archimede do the tradition justice. The good news about the watches is that they are fully featured, but without taking away from the theme. Inside you will find either an ETA 2824, or Valjoux 7750 chronograph movement. Both automatic movements of course. The three hand model has a nicely integrated black backgrou

First Basel Impression
So the anticipation has been crazy for weeks now. Teasers / leaked photos. What is going to come out or what will be discontinued. I have been into watches for a while, but not online. I am seriously tired and slightly disappointed. Am I alone?Year of the Pepsi!!1. GMT SS Pepsi - not a fan of jubilee otherwise I would seriously consider buying one (I respect the jubilee heritage - but like the oyster bracelet)2, GMT Rootbeer - actually like this in Everest/TT, but not enough to buy one3, Tudor Pepsi - I actually like the vintage look minus rivet bracelet.4. WG Pepsi - I like it with the blue dial/also like the older black dial - no funds for a PM piece yet (other priorities)5. TBD - Have been on conference calls at work all day so haven't seen other brands offerings. I want my next watch purchase to be my second Rolex so does it really matter. On a positive note: Hulk / BLNR are not discontinued I believe (Still on site). So far my four watches in the running for my next purchase are e
