Watches NEWS
BEST FROM: watches-dealer & Friends July 18, 2014
Ask any watch lover what they think is the "correct" or "optimum" watch size and you will get many different answers. While it is unquestionable that watches have gained significant heft over the last two decades or so, watch lovers cannot seem to agree on whether it is a matter of natural progression or simply just a fashion trend. While we believe that the trend of larger watches is partly dictated by fashion styles, there is also some evidence that suggests that it is simply a natural evolution of watch design based on consumer demands.Elsewhere, we learn about the history of Longines and also visit the many fascinating depths of the incredible manufacture that is Audemars Piguet. You will find an inside the manufacture look in the brand's Le Brassus headquarters as well as their high-end movement making facility in Le Locle, APR&P (Audemars Piguet Renaud & Papi) and their Heritage & Restoration Department. Had you been longing for a comprehensive look inside "AP?" Look
Details and price of Jaeger LeCoultre Amvox 2 Chronograph DBS
Today, we found not a transponder DBS (one capable of synchronization with the Aston), but rather a chronograph limited edition Amvox 2. Take cues from the transponder (retail price ~ $ 40 000), the chronograph of this monitoring is operated by pressing on the face of the Crystal, thus no pushers projection of the case, and the retail price for this current time of production is less than half that of the transponder. Example of today, sells for about half of the retail price in order to get really much about a rare and innovative of Jaeger LeCoultre chronograph.
We love this face, semi-skeletonized watch black red accents and really, it is a watch that reminds us many vintage Heuers of the 1960s and 1970s, as it is purely a timepiece of race and you can tell. This Amvox 2 DBS Limited Edition chronograph is selling for $9450 and more information are available here. And even if we know that this is not the transponder, we thought that us would post a video of this show finally shor
Omega NATO - is anything else even close???
Does anyone make a NATO that approximates the quality of the Omega NATO? I'm new to NATOs, and have been wearing my Speedmaster Pro on the OEM NATO for the past couple of months, and find it fantastic. I recently ordered some very highly regarded straps from an online retailer that specializes in NATOs, and I found two issues. One - the quality of the material was not as desired/expected, and two - with the watch head centered, the buckle is not even close to being centered under my wrist. It was literally on the very edge of my wrist. Any recommendations???Also, does anyone know who makes Omega's straps? Thanks,Steve
I support Patek's direction 100%
I don't want 33 mm men's watchesI don't want text that I need a magnifying glass to readI don't want dated dials and numeralsI don't want watches so thin that I can use them to slice meatStop with the I hate the new Patek posts. We get it. You want small thin watches from the 70s. Some of us like the newer modern pieces. Bring on my 5522!!!!Carry on.
