YMII timer engaged perpetually
Can someone with actual knowledge on the matter please shed some light on the affect or lack thereof having chrono (timer) on all the time... I love the hacking seconds hand look of any automatic watch but the red hand on the YMII is always fixed position unless (I know the subdial is the actual seconds hand however it is practically unnoticeable) the countdown timer is engaged and I don’t really care for it like that in static position.... you think it will damage or wear down the movement much sooner, also what happens to the mechanics of it once the countdown hits 0 from 10 and it if stays engaged..
SS Pepsi Likely To Cause Plunge in WG BLRO Sales
I have been looking to buy a pre-owned BLRO in WG, but I am now just going to buy the SS Pepsi. The SS models hold their value much better, they are easier to sell if you change your mind, they are more durable and now there is little difference in the look, plus the SS Pepsi has the new movement and a much longer lasting power reserve which makes it technically a superior watch to the WG BLRO.The White Gold BLRO was not a big seller before this SS Pepsi was introduced, so I think sales of the WG BLRO are likely to go down even more now which might eventually lead to the model being discontinued or maybe Rolex will upgrade it in some way like the movement. Thoughts?A used WG BLRO is about $23 to $24k today, which is enough to buy a SS Pepsi and a SS Daytona and still have about $2 to $3k left for a fun weekend....Based on that I can't justify a WG BLRO anymore. It needs to drop further in price so that it makes more sense.
Hold Over Watch
So I sold my sub to fund some business purchase stuff, right now I'm wearing my square casio but am thinking I need a hold over watch for around 2K, thoughts? Next watch will be green face, white gold DD, the anniversary and will most likely be my only watch. I am self employed and no one ever notices nor do I care so the purchase is just for me. Wondering if there are some models I haven't thought about?Put this in Rolex sub forum because I was thinking maybe tudorsteve
