Over 1000 aBlogtoRead.com Articles - Well-Earned
I like to post about these milestones -they feel important to me. I've written over 1000 aBlogtoReadwatches-dealer articles. And I must remind myself that I also regularly write for a few other sites such as Luxistwatches-dealer, AskMenwatches-dealer, and more (see all my current work on the About page here). So the total watch articles I have written since starting in late 2007, is over 2000. But aBlogtoReadwatches-dealer being my own place, I think 1000 here is still pretty impressive. I wonder if I put it all in a single book, how many pages it would be? I think we are talking more than War & Peace here. In this time of reflection I feel as though I have only scratched the surface of my passion for watches and entrance into the watch industry. Last month at exclusive invite-only SIHH in Geneva, I felt as though the occasion was my symbolic "true entrance" into the watch industry. While most of the commenting readers on aBlogtoReadwatches-dealer are watch enthusiasts, I learned th
Japan Only Citizen Campanola Grand Complication Available: Different Than US Version
Us watch lovers prefer focusing on the minutiae rather than the big picture sometimes. Which is probably why I love this watch, even though I basically already own one. This is the Japan only version of the highly popular Citizen Campanola Grand Complication with the Japanese rose wood lacquered dial. The model number of the Japan only edition is: CTR57-1001. However, you can read more specifics and a review about this model right here on aBlogtoReadwatches-dealer's review of the "world" model Citizen Campanola Grand Complication. The Citizen Campanola series is rare enough outside Japan, but the "world" Grand Complication model differed in a few major ways from this Japan only model. First, the globally sold model used Arabic numbers versus the Roman numerals on the Japan edition. This is really a measure of taste. Some prefer the astute classiness of Roman numerals, while others prefer the modern legibility of Arabic numbers. I see the Arabic numbers on this model as having a benefice
VEC Baselworld and SIHH coming up all the houses of the day
VEC Baselworld and SIHH (Salon International of Haute Horologerie) coming up all the houses of the day before up to show their new models. BASELWORLD takes place April 3-10 and SIHH takes place on 7-12 April. The WPHH (World presentation of Haute Horlogerie) created by Franck Muller Watchland I know not when, as I can't find a date.
Breitling Aerospace F65062 questions...
I have been taken by the somewhat 'vintage' looks of this Breitling Aerospace F65062 with the 'pro' bracelet. Current asking price is $937.00, and looks in clean and very good condition (from the photos) with all original boxes and papers from original owner.I know that the watch is from 1996-2000 and is non-COSC, but same movement as later COSC. It has the 'Navy colored' dial with gold lettering, non-italic number fonts, 18k gold 15 minute markers on bezel. I am also aware of the possible moisture issues with the 'pressed-on back'.It radiates to me like an old but comfortable pair of quality made shoes, if that makes any sense. Got 'unique daily beater' written all over it.Any current/past owners have anything I should know about why I possibly should not go see (and purchase) this watch...?
