Japanese Miyota Targets Swiss ETA With Caliber 9000 Series Watch Movements
For about 10 years ETA has been threatening to stop supplying third-party (outside the Swatch Group) watch brands with movement kits. The horological drama has been high, with the Swiss government weighing in several times, and ETA seemingly going back and forth with what they are going to do. Before Nicolas Hayek died, the latest was that ETA would no longer be supplying (ebauches) movement kits to third party watch brands, but they could get assembled kits. There were rumors that he actually would be giving kits to select outside Swatch Groups brands that he hand picked. Then he died, and now it isn't clear who will get ETA movements and how. Whatever the fact may be for the next few years, watch brands that used to rely on ETA movements have been looking elsewhere for alternatives. This is because completed movement kits from ETA would be much more expensive and much harder to get.One place many have looked to is Japan. Introducing The Blancpain Villeret 8 Day With Grand Feu Enamel Dial
With SIHH behind us, the pre-Baselworld releases are starting to appear. The first release from Blancpain is an addition to the classic Villeret collection, the Villeret 8 Day with Grand Feu enamel dial. The styling is restrained and traditional like the rest of the Villeret collection and inside is an in-house Blancpain movement with a full eight days (192 hours) of power reserve. 2 OF 3 One of the highlights of the new Villeret 8 Day is the Grand Feu enamel dial. Grand Feu is a special type of enamel that involves layering pigments and firing repeatedly at extremely high temperatures. So instead of the numerals being painted onto the enamel, they are actually painting in enamel during the process. The result means that on the finished dial the numbers are set in the enamel and will not wear away with time. These are hand painted and feature little hollows that match the open hands. 3 OF 3 Turning the 42mm red gold case over you'll see the calibre 1335

Who can resist the charm of the 15204 (incoming)
I can't!!! The slate grey skeleton with rose! Perfection!!
After buying it cant wear it
I have bought/sold many watches last year ie( offshores , tt daytona, lv and sea dweller). My current collection is ( ROO elephant, ROO vampire, tt datejust 16013).last week I got the chance to buy tt submariner ceramic blue dial and to my surprise i loved it alot and asked my self why i did not think of it before . I bought it from AD brand new with all stickers at a perfect price and before wearing it i read here that there is probably a new movement coming to the professional line soon the 3235 which makes me felt a bit annoyed. I dont want to wear a watch that after a couple of months will be offered with updated movement thus i kept the watch in my drawer and waiting unpatiantly to basel this year. What do you guys think?? Noting that i bought the watch and may sell it to grey dealer for profit also
