Making It Fit........The Bracelet.
Omega uses pins to hold the bracelet together. To confound this, the nice clasp they provide does not have any micro-holes for adjustment..But you can do it:First you need a couple of simple tools. Either a bracelet pin removal tool...orA pin punch the approximate diameter (smaller) of the pins.A small hammer to tap the pin out.A pair of small pliers to pull out and insert the pin.Something like this:Looking at the links from the backside, some small arrows can be seen etched in the removable links. The pins are pushed out in the direction of the arrows.Place the bracelet in a padded vice, or hold sturdily on a piece of padded wood....or two with a small space between for the pin to have room to come out. After the pin is started out, it can be pulled the rest of the way with the pliers. This photo shows two pins partially out. Here we see the parts. You will notice we have two full links and one 1/2 link. The other parts are the locking tube and the pin. This photo also shows th
New Omega Arrival...
After trying on a WSOTM, I couldn't get white watches out of my head. I wasn't really looking to buy a White Side, but wanted something similar. After banging around for a week was able to source both the watch on bracelet and the strap (the boutique had one in stock).I know it's not for everyone, but I think it's cool.
Omega is stepping up to the plate...
I think Omega is doing a great job stepping up to the plate for making great watches. They are catching the eye of many watch lovers. Stepping into the making their own movements to making some great complications to keeping old school still there. I say nice job. In time they will be extremely expensive. In a short out of a few with a large pocket book to the extreme of retard expensive (those with pockets WAY beyond average.) Just like Rolex. Thumbs up from me.
Black Bay 32 (new), 36, & 41 come in BLUE!
While I'm absolutely NOT shocked at the additions of the Black Bay variations, since they seem to be the popular kids on the block, I'm thrilled they added blue to the lineup of the 32 (new this year), 36 & 41. I tried on the 36mm in black & thought it was quite comfortable. At the time I thought, oh too bad it didn't come in blue. LOL Got my wish! Now I just hope I like this blue color! I didn't like the blue on the Style, was too dark, almost black in some lighting. So.. for someone who wants a blue dial watch & doesn't want to spend that much on it, it's a definite possibility. It's sporty, it's casual, no bezel so can be dressed up, it's a nice watch for the money. PS... The hands aren't that prominent when you have the watch on. LOL That's the ONLY thing I would want changed. If I don't like the blue, I have back up options. LOL Don't we all. https://.tudorwatch/watches/black-bay-32-36-41I might be alone in this, anyone else like the watch?
Choices Choices Choices!?!?!?
Looking at my first Rolex purchase for the 30th bday and have it narrowed down to 3. - Pre-Owned 16610 Sub, complete kit, 2006 model- 6200- Pre-Owned gmt master 116710, complete kit- 7200- new SubC no date from AD- 7500 No tax on any of these since out of state. 7500 is tip of the budget. Any advice is appreciated!
