Cartier Artistic Crafts & High Jewelry Watches For 2012
At the exclusive watch show SIHH, Cartier has one of the largest booths. A lot of their space is dimly lit with museum style showcases offering glimpses of items you probably won't see anywhere else. Given that the show is not open to the public, most people will never see these pieces at all. In the cases are a range of artistic and high-jewelry creations that the French brand has produced for the year. Some of these are piece uniques, some parts of limited editions, and some might not even be sold at all. Whatever the nature of the item, I am usually sure to find at least a few beautiful things.Not all of these items are watches, but most are. High-jewelry (or haute joaillerie as it is often known) enjoys having "mystery display" watches where dials are only revealed after opening or sliding something to the side. That is certainly the case with an item I have not covered in this article, but will in a separate piece. It is just too amusing to be part of a pack, and is how Cartier do

After many long years, months and days I finally managed to track down a complete and more importantly mint condition Alaska Project Limited Edition Speedmaster. 5980 - first time wrist click
I just wanted to share the very first wrist shot I took of my 5980, right after I had unboxed it. I can tell you, that is a special feeling. I still get, after a little over a year owning it, that kick when I click it on my wrist. There has been several pictures after this first one ;o)

About to pull the trigger on a GMT II (16710) and am seriously torn between two watches. Black bezel 16710 in good condition (7/10) with box & papersPepsi bezel 16720 in great condition (near NOS) with current RSC (till 2020) and box with spare black bezel but no original papersThe Pepsi is �300 more.I'm looking for a Pepsi ideally but want a black bezel too to swap out occasionally (the lower price of the black is enough to buy a spare Pepsi bezel)Can't decide which to go for!
