MB&F HM4 Thunderbolt Watch Revealed
If you have ever wondered what a MB&F aviator watch might look like, then this is your answer. In fact, the actual dial of the brand spankin' new Horological Machine Number 4 (HM4) "Thunderbolt" watch is a done with a classic aviator style design. I love how MB&F presented this little homage to all those aviator classic with the MB&F twist, including the font used for the numerals and the hands. Like all Horological Machines before it, the point of the watch isn't primarily to tell time, but to celebrate being a machine, a machine that tells the time. I first covered the HM4 here on Luxistwatches-dealer when all MB&F allowed me to show was the movement (see the galley images there for live shots of the movement).According to MB&F, the main inspiration behind the Thunderbolt watch is the A-10 plane - though lots of people speculated about it being something more Sci-Fi in origin. Actually, 'Thunderbolt' is just one of the plane's names and nickname, but it is the off
Court Says Swatch Can Cut Supply To Competing Watchmakers: What Does It Mean?
Swatch is having a good week.? First, the Swiss National Bank decided to purchase back an unlimited amount of Francs, causing a big jump in its share price.?Now, courts have ruled in favor of Swatch in a suit filed by 11 watchmakers that would've forced the company to continue to supply both movements and parts to competitors moving forward.? Now, they don't have to.So what does this mean? Well, it's hard to say for sure but you can bet this will hurt a host of brands - big and small - that rely on ETA hearts for their pieces.? But, at the same time, this ruling will hopefully lead to actual innovation in the watch industry by forcing more brands to build their own calibers.? And to any of you who says "But hey, manufacture movements are always really expensive!" check out NOMOS and then get back to us.Oh, and of course, even if ETA stops supplying movements, there will always be people like Sellita making movements to the exact same specifications.?Check out more details the WSJ.
RO 15451ST Opinions Needed
Gents I get the sense that most of you arent fond of diamond bezels. Generally, I share the sentiment, however, this particular RO15451 has caught my eye. I know others have contributed to my previous questions about this watch, however, id like a wider opinion on the following:1. This model is labelled unisex by dealer and ladies on the AP webpage, do you consider this a unisex watch or strictly ladies?https://imageshack/i/pnNQTJcfjhttps://imageshack/i/pmX6Cwh8j
Couple wrist shots 3572.50 on orange NATO
Its been a while since I wore my speedy as I have been bitten by the Rolex bug as of late. I have sold pretty much all my watches to save up for a vintage rolex but just refused to ever let this one go. I usually wear it on black leather with an omega deployment or SS bracelet but just swapped to an orange NATO for fun. I like it, enjoy.
