Patek Philippe Revamps Generations Ads
More of an official portrait that the earlier "generations", Patek Philippe ad new images present sounds which are substantially older than before. Presentation of the product was also amended, with watches that appear in the blocks of Brown, with the iconic tagline "you never actually own a Patek Philippe, you merely look after it for the next generation". To create new images, Patek Philippe and his London-based advertising agency to that Leagas Delaney turned famous photographer Craig McDean mode.
In addition to creating portraits of celebrities such as Nicole Kidman, Joaquin Phoenix, Natalie Portman and Uma Thurman, McDean has been behind the lens for a series of luxury brand advertising campaigns including Gucci, Giorgio Armani and Yves Saint Laurent. In 2008, the International Center of Photography (ICP) submitted McDean with an infinite price for his achievements in fashion and advertising photography. Omega Speedmaster Broad Arrow Question
I just recently acquired a Speedmaster Broad Arrow with I believe the 3303 movement. It keeps more accurate time than my Sub Date and the power reserve seems ok. The thing is, if you hold it to your ear and shake it gently you can hear something spinning and buzzing around inside the watch, and can actually feel a mild vibration through your finger tips. When you manually wind the watch you don't get that smooth ratcheting feeling you get with a Rolex. Is this normal?
My PAM 557 1 hour left on eBay no reserve!

My First Rolex. The Yacht-master
I got my first Rolex today from Alfred. A 16622 A serial Yachtmaster. The watch is in great shape, the bracelet is much more stretched than I was expecting but for the price it's worth getting fixed on my own. I took a couple pics to share with you guys. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
New GMT in Paris
I just pulled the trigger on my second Rolex. Three days ago I saw a 116710LN brand new at the Rolex boutique in the Saint Germaine area. They had just got it in that morning and rather than pull the trigger I decided to think about it. Went back this morning to purchase it and it had sold. Walked out mad at myself for not pulling the trigger. My wonderful wife said call around. I started calling all the other dealers in Paris with no luck. On the last call to Wempe we were in luck. Gave them my name and rushed over in the pouring rain. They had received the watch yesterday morning and it was still in it's shipping package. Pulled the trigger on the spot. Here is a pic of it at the louvre.
