Vacheron Constantin Celebrates 260th Anniversary With Cocktail Soire In NYC
Vacheron Constantin North America President Vincent Brun and Director of Atelier Cabinotiers Dominique BernazNew York's watch industry folk were treated to an elegant night of cocktails at Cipriani Midtown by historic?watchmaker Vacheron Constantin where they celebrated?the 260th anniversary of the brand and presented the new Ref 57260 (read our first look at the piece here) - the most complicated watch in existence today. Boasting?57 complications and 2826 components housed within the 50.55mm-thick mechanical?pocket watch, the Vacheron Constantin Ref. 57260 piece boasts a 98mm case and is a bold statement of watchmaking mastery for the brand. Decisions, decisions! Which ROO to acquire?
Well I'm I've been a long time lurker of this forum; but this is only my second post. I usually post on Paneristi. My watch history has been a few Omega's, the last being a PO 9300. I sold it because it was a bit too heavy for daily wear. Plus I've had many Panerai's including a 351 which I loved and a 311 two different times. Both being titanium the weight was perfect. The 351 had gold hands and was beautiful but I wanted more. The 311 was very nice but I don't think the complication was there yet as both watches experienced issues even after both had complete services (which was extremely annoying!). So currently I'm watchless. I've was looking at the PP Nautilus. I love the slate gray dial but it's out of my price range as that dial doesn't come in time only. The white is nice but I'd always be upset loving the gray/slate dial. AP I love too and I've settled on them or at least I thought so. So I do want a display caseback. And I like several of the 44mm like
Newly Discontinued Models
No more 5960 or 5980...
Bit disappointing today
Well apart from the new GMT II SS I think overall the releases were a bit of a let down.GMT II - Everose and TT Ok I supposeRedesigned D Blue - Nothing special, bit of an amendment and nicer lookGem enhanced Daytona - A real specialist taste watchNew Datejusts - A little bit variety with dials/colours You can see why they are tightening controls on SS models with only one additional new release.
