Introducing The Rotonde de Cartier Chronograph, 40mm And Just Right (Live Pics, Specs, Official Pricing)
This is the chronograph we have been waiting for from Cartier. The Rotonde de Cartier Chronograph is round, 40 mm in diameter, uses Cartier's great in-house caliber 1904-CH, and looks fantastic. 2 OF 4 When we reviewed the Calibre de Cartier Chronograph here, we agreed that though the merits of the excellent in-house chronograph movement were very real selling points, there was a lack of design cohesiveness throughout the piece-seen primarily on the dial. Here, the Rotonde de Cartier Chronograph provides us with a more balanced, traditional dial with the full Roman numeral treatment, silvered outer minute track, and Breguet hands. 3 OF 4 The 40 mm case is wonderfully balanced, and the rectangular pushers are incredibly subtle from the front of the case looking at the watch. Inside the Rotonde de Cartier Chronograph is the same great 1904-CH self-winding movement from the Calibre Chrono. Here though, it actually fills up more of the case than with the Calibre
How snug is your bracelet?
Got my first AP (metal bracelet) today and had it sized at the shop. After walking around a bit outside, I felt that it was a bit too snug, so I went back to the shop and had them put a link back in. Now, I am concerned that its too loose!Generally speaking, I like my watches to be snug and sit above my wrist bone. However, now, with that extra link back in, it becomes really loose when I am indoors with air conditioning, but when I'm outside, with the humidity it feels just right... Does anyone have any advice with this? Will the bracelet break in and get any looser? I get really OCD when the watch drops past my wrist bone.Your advice is greatly appreciated...E
5208p incoming...(early)
In anticipation of a life milestone and consolidating significantly my collection I ordered what I estimate is the highest quality and most complicated watch I could possibly wear. And because my Patek AD simply amazing I am able to share this truly phenomenal work of craftmanship early. I love the watch, my AD and my Patek experience so I will attempt to temper the gushing with my observations. General: Wearing it it feels very diffrent from other Patek watches as it is wide, tall and the platinum makes it heavy but also rather familiar as the design of the case and dial are much like other current offerings. It almost feels like a sports watch from my youth, you know your wearing a watch. Dial:The dial is a softer sunburst grey dial than 5396G that I held awhile back. It seems like a matte grey with a shimmer - that's the best I can describe it. I like that the day, date and month windows are framed and as (I think) there is no lume on the dial at all the chronograph rings are the mo
Fake or Replica Rolex watches spotting remarks
Hello, I am new to Rolex watches world, and I am considering buying some Rolex watches pre-owned of course and I am thinking to start off with a date just or submariner I might ending buying both eventually!, and in order to make sure that I am buying the genuine one I am starting this thread to discuss all the possible spotting remarks that one should look for in order to verify whether the watch in hand is genuine or not, for example I read that for all Rolex watches old and new should have the second hand and I mean here the central main second hand reaching up to or cover the second indices, otherwise if it is shorter and failed to do so it will be a sure sign that we are looking at a fake Rolex watch, is this a solid fact or is there any models that have a short second hand that is far away from the second indices by 1 or 2 or 3mm.
Rumour threads - and price increase etc
I love this forum and have learnt so much from many of you.Your knowledge of Rolex watches amaze me.But, just lately there are so many threads regarding -- Certain pieces being discontinued etc..rumours My Ad said this,,,,my AD said that,,,Are some of these threads driving any of you crazy?
