Sothebys Reveals Important Watches For May, 2014 Auction
Sponsored PostSotheby's is offering a varied selection of wristwatches, ranging from divers to rare chronographs in their Spring sale, taking place on 14th May, 2014 in Geneva. The morning auction will kick off with an array of modern Rolex Daytonas, which offer a variety of dial styles. The reference 16520 is well represented with two well-preserved watches, lots 34 and 35, featuring a floating Cosmograph dial. The so-called floating dial shows the designation Cosmograph with a marked distance from the Officially Certified line above. Another reference 16520 (lot 53) from a transitional period, believed to have been produced for one year only, displays a rare dial which does not include the Officially Certified feature. In the afternoon, vintage sports model wristwatches will be the stars of the rostrum. A beautifully preserved Rolex Daytona reference 6263 in stainless steel, lot 289, will be one of the first key elements of the sale for Daytona Collectors. Also notable is an e
2907.50.91 Serviced under warranty on Swatch Group - Miami
Just to share my recently experience !I took like a month ago my 2907.50.91 Planet Ocean Casino Royale to be serviced... Since I got it the 11 marker had a weird black dot under the Lume but never do anything just now because the warranty close to expired.I went there with my PO then they write in the receipt, bracelet scratched, clasp scratched, case scratched, caseback scratched, bezel scratched, crown scratched and dial damaged... because of my claim. This is one of of my favorites and I keep all my timepieces in a pristine condition and this one was like new so i said : Why you mark as scratches if I can't see anything on my watch is like factory new... then she told me no because is already used. When I leave Swatch Group office I was thinking this guys are Swatch Group so I'm going to be fine. They sent me an email to authorize the repair... an exchange of the dial and the movement was not accurate but they told me a service will be included under warranty... I agree and they star

Adding a sub to the collection
Firstly Hi - this is my first post For the past few years I've mainly been into Omegas (mainly due to not being able to afford a Rolex). However recently I was lucky enough to purchase a Coke GMT which I love . However, I've always fancied a Sub and I've been offered one that has peaked my interest. Which I think is a no-brainer decsion..... but I just wanted to check that my man-math adds up!I've been offered a 14060m 2003 no B&P, includes a watchfinder receipt, it was also was serviced a year ago by Rolex and comes with the warranty card with a year left. I can purcase it for GBP 4k. I figure at the price I can't really loose and if I dont get on with it and I can sell it for roughly what I purchased it for - this would pass my man math and wife test! What are your thoughts? Thanks, Mersh
