SIHH: Jaeger-LeCoultre Duomtre Quantime Lunaire
For 2010 Jaeger-LeCoultre expands the Duomtre family with the addition of the 42mm Duomtre Quantime Lunaire. This piece displays time with a jumping foudroyante seconds hand showing 1/6th of a second increments, along with the date and the age of the moon. The “dual-wing” movement features two independent power supplies: one regulated by the escapement and balance, and the other for the time, date and age of the moon displays. The dual-wing architecture bypasses the problem of additional complications affecting the smooth flow of power to the escapement, and so allows precise timekeeping even in a very complicated watch. Though the new caliber 381 movement is complex, the displays are clear: hour and minute on the right hand side, date and moon phase on the left hand side, central seconds, and jumping seconds in the lower middle of the dial. The movement is designed to achieve the highest possible precision for a mechanical movement. News out of AP at SIHH
What do you guys think about the news that came out of AP at SIHH about discontinuing the Jules Audemars line and creating an entire new line to replace next year? Any guesses on what category it would be in or any insight to what you think it may be? If this news is old, I apologize , it was new to me and I am excited to see what the future holds.
New 2014 ROO Owners please help
Hi everyone,I'm looking at picking up my very first AP. For a long time I was debating between the 15400, ROC, and ROO. I have since settled on the ROO. And initially settled on the ROO Panda. However, after seeing the new ROO models, I have decided to get one of those. The ceramic parts + the sapphire caseback really pushed me over the edge. I'm deciding between the Safari, Black/Red and Grey elephant. I am going to go to an AD to try them all on before deciding for sure, but I wanted to know some of the opinions of owners here! Does anyone own more than 1 of these? I am leaning more toward the New Safari, but am afraid the brown tones may be difficult to match (especially in a more formal setting), where the grey elephant may still pull off relatively formal attires, the safari might not. I've heard that the Safari does not look good in photos. But look extremely amazing in person. Looking forward to hearing any opinions / comparison photos / photos /wristshots of these beautiful ROO'
I wonder where Brad Pitt's $3 Million Patek is
I just remembered that Angelina Jolie bought Brad a $3 Million platinum Patek, originally made for JB Champion, when they got married 2 years ago.Now that they have split, Angelina kind of strikes me as the type of lady that might throw her ex's stuff in a pile and burn it.Heres a link about the watch in case you forgot about it: .dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz...ding-gift.html
