Timex Watches For Fun Gifts On A Budget
Timex is a brand that most all watches lovers know about, but we tend to not think about Timex watches that often. That might be a shame because Timex has an important history in the American watch industry, and is also a brand that today offers a lot of watches. Timex sort of shot themselves in the foot by making too many budget watches for people with bad vision or the elderly. Not that anything is wrong with that, but style and quality conscious people typecasted the brand as boring. Those watches do exist, but in the last few years Timex has been offering more fun timepieces that focus on fashion as well as their history. Most Timex watches are $200 and under, with the majority of watches in this article being priced at under $100. Many of these are part of the Timex Originals collection or other lines that offer contemporary timepieces with a very of a retro flair. Even the ubiquitous Timex Easy Reader is getting more treatment as Timex has celebrated the king of dorky watches by o
Mystery Tiffany & Co. Diving Watch Is Rare Treat: Partnership With NauticFish, Enza Mechana?
Here is something you don't see everyday. A rare Tiffany & Co. watch that I just can't seem to figure out. I learned of this watch as it is being offered on eBay right now with no end date until someone purchases it. The seller claims that it is a Tiffany & Co. watch built by NauticFish, and I am not sure this is correct. It is true that Tiffany & Co. often rebrands or adds its name to other popular watches sold in its store. It used to do this with Rolex, and currently does with a variety of brands including Baume et Mercier. Further, Tiffany & Co. often outsources watch design, just as it did with the popular Streamerica watch (no longer being made) designed by Jorg Hysek. Therefore, it is plausible that Tiffany & Co. worked with NauticFish or Enzo Mechana, but it is doubtful in this case. NauticFish is a new brand that started in 1998 as an offshoot from Schaumburg watches in Germany. I don't know of any Tiffany & Co. relationships with German watch makers, bu
PP 5127R Advice...
Hi All,I'm picking up my first PP next week... For a very long time, I've wanted this piece although I'm not sure if it'll hold its value well in say 4-5 years time.Admittedly I'm also tempted by a RG Day-Date and while it's certainly style over substance I feel it offers a bit more versatility considering it's on a bracelet and has no trouble being dunked in the sink.Right now I've got a steel Royal Oak and a RG Royal Oak on leather strap... I'm certainly leaning towards the Calatrava and would appreciate your advice...Thanks, M.
Datejust 41 or Speedmaster?
Of course the title doesn't make sense so I will make a long story short. When I first got into watches I really wanted an Omega SMP but didn't have the budget. Settled for a Tag Aquaracer and sold it a year later to help fund my Sub 114060 which I love (my first keeper watch) and I am looking to expand my collection in the future. Before I pulled the trigger on the Sub, I decided on the Speedmaster but realized the bracelet doesn't fit right and that if I am going to own this watch, I want it on a black leather strap. I didn't want leather and manual wind for every day wear and also decided I like the hesalite version best, so I wanted something more scratch resistant.Recently I have become obsessed with the new DJ41, specifically smooth bezel on jubilee – Rhodium or blue dial (pictures absolutely welcomed, please and thank you).I would appreciate your thoughts and comments on whether you would go for the SMP on leather (with the option to add/change straps) or the Datejust41 (an
Thinking of a Skydweller
TRF,I have blue omega seamaster currently and am about to get my first Rolex. I have decided on the Skydweller because I really like the looks and complication of the watch. I am thinking that I like the Black Skydweller and my question is should I go for the the SS or TT model. The watch would be for daily wear with business clothes. My AD doesn't have a SD in stock (no surprise), so I will be getting on the list. What are your thoughts on the Black SS bs TT?Regards,NB
