Oris Chronoris Watch
Watches like this make a great argument for why you need to have more than one watch. How could a singular timepiece style match how you feel all the time? Unless that is, you just don't pay any attention to what you are wearing on your wrist. This Oris Chronoris watch is a perfect example of this fact. If I had one of these watches I would certainly find days when I couldn't look at it, and other days when all I would want is to wear it. How is that possible? It is like how art can function - meant to enhance how you feel or want to feel. The colorful look from 1970 is just not for all the time, but sometimes it is just what hits the spot. Sometimes you feel like being retro-nostalgic, other times the idea sounds terrible. The 70's had a lot of odd watches, maybe not as many as today, but they certainly got weird when it came to shapes and colors. A few things from the era stuck though. Namely large sized cases and bold looks. You really didn't have a lot of that before. In celebration
Steel vs gold?
Have the 15400st which is among my most casual watches (can't really call it a beater) but also dresses up ok with a suit. There are a few 15400or blue dials at various trusted sellers and have thought about trading in/up. I have a big wrist and like the second hand, so 15202 doesn't work for me. Am wondering about steel vs gold and particularly if the gold bracelet is too blingy.
Incoming and Energized!!!
and happy to finely join the club (it's only taken 22 years)!!! Thanks to all!!! Special thanks to Joshua at Govberg in Philadelphia for a truly wonderful AD experience- !!!!! Highest recommendation!!!!
UK Duty Tax for Rolex Purchased in Switzerland?
Hello allHas anyone gone to Switzerland to purchase a Rolex watch and brought it in to the UK. Did you have to pay additional TAX? I would like to know if a Rolex is Purchased from Switzerland Airport, traveling from Swiss to UK, if the TAX Duty is necessary in the UK.Please also let me know your comments, from outside the EU purchase to the UK.Thank you very much.
What a lovely day! Double incoming!
Went to the AD today, which I never visited before and what a day it was! I was thinking to get me a second pair of watch, because my platona is too beautiful to be a beater lol. I was considering to buy a sub, but this AD had a Sub Date is stock which I tried and fell in love. I had a hulk before, but black one is so beautiful. My wife was never a watch fan before but I was thinking to buy her some kind of Rolex sport watch to share my passion. I offered her to try 268622 which is perfect size for her wrist. Blue second hand is so beautiful. She loved it from the first glance...Wrist shots are coming tomorrow!
