Brand Highlight: Ball Watch
The Ball Watch company is one rooted in history and tradition,?dating back?to the late 1800’s. ?Webb C. Ball, the company’s founder, was the first jeweler to?adopt?standard time measurement in all of his pocket watches and later in life was responsible for the standardization of time measurement throughout the watch manufacturing world. ?Today, Ball Watch has?maintained?a significant presence in the watch landscape, through superbly designed mechanical watches, with unique styling to match their?historical?roots. The story behind the founding of Ball Watch is actually quite interesting. ?In the late 1800’s, Webb C. Hi all First AP, a 15400 black dial. It will replace my SubC as my ss watch. After my purchase of a gold GMT II last year, I felt I needed more visual variety. I have a somewhat random question though, hopefully you all can provide some insight.... AP haphazardly wraps their new watches in what appears to be cheap clear plastic and blue plastic (same as what is used on electronics). Rolex as most of you know uses precision cut pieces applied at strategic locations. Any idea why the cheap look of the AP wrapping? Considering that AP is considered a more luxurious brand?
Got my first Breitling!
Hey all, Thanks to everyone on the Forum (especially Tim) who had helped me and gave me advice on where to look, my first Breitling had finally arrived this weekend, and it is AWSOME! The only downside is that I now have to try really hard to stop myself from looking at my watch all the time :) I've tried to attach some pics, but for some reason my files won't upload, if anyone could tell me how, I would be happy to put them up!
Vintage Omega "Gradue pour 30 pulsations" INFO NEEDED!
I am helping a friend determine what this OMEGA is that he has that seems to be very vintage and very old. It is a manual winder and I would say is about 34-36mm in size. I did not measure it. Also if there is any OMEGA experts here maybe someone could kindly PM me a value. We would also like to know what a ballpark figure of this watch would be to sell. Thanks!
Just a little update
I put this strap on my wifes Speedmaster for a while ago.It was maybe a little too white so now we will try this instead. Not bad IMHO.
