SIHH: Girard-Perregaux Vintage 1945 XXL
The Vintage 1945 collection is a modern reinterpretation of the spirit of an Art Deco-inspired model with a rectangular case. At 35.25 x 36.20mm, the generous dimensions give it a strong presence on the wrist. Like the original model, its dial features Arabic numerals, “railway” minute track and subtly concave small seconds display at 6 o’clock. This symmetry, the guiding principle of Art Deco, gives the design perfect balance. The Vintage 1945 XXL is also distinguished by its self-winding mechanism. The manufacture caliber GP3300 can be appreciated through the watch’s crystal case-back, and sports traditional decorative finishes: C?tes de Genve, circular graining and blued steel screws. The Vintage 1945 XXL is also available in steel.TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS Pink gold caseDimensions: 35.25 x 36.20 mmAntireflective sapphire crystalSapphire case-back fastened with 4 screwsWater resistance: 30 metres (3 ATM)Girard-Perregaux GP3300Mechanical self-winding movementCal
Another 15400st thread..blue vs silver
Hello everyone, I've been noticing a bunch of 15400 threads lately and it's slowly pushing me to the point where I started inquiring for them. Originally I was set on the silver, but with everyone's gorgeous blue 15400s recently, it has increased my curiosity. I am after the 15400 due to the nature of the finishing, the bracelet, and most importantly wearability. As I do not wear much blue, and am already waiting (very patiently) for the 5711 blue, would a blue 15400 be redundant? If I go silver, would I be missing out on the gorgeous blue dial? Any comments would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
Advise on 15400 size
Hi ,Just wanted some advise regarding the size of 15400.Currently have bumble bee on diver strap and that works well for me.But the RO would be more office / semi formal watch for me.My wrist size is only 6 1/2 inches and fairly flat and due fact that can't get like new 15300 at decent price I'm thinking just getting the white 15400 instead.I tried it on at AD but with the bracelet not been adjusted it hard to tell. Also may be just in my mind but the black dial looks like better fit but only interested in the white as have alot black faced watches already.Just to add I also have IWC 5001 auto which fits ok my thoughts is that 41mm should wear about the same.Any advise would be welcome many thanksAnish
Advice on new purchase
Really like the Avenger II GMT, close to purchase new from AD. Blue dial, blue rubber strap, competitive price. Would like input from members here on the watch and Breitling in general, as this will be my first of the brand. Reliability is the main quality in a watch for me, followed by accuracy and durability. The B32 movement is a modified ETA movement used in several other GMT models, any comments on that? My Rolex's have spoiled me. Thanks for your comments.
