GIVEAWAY: Get Diving Certification With Oris Watches & watches-dealer In Grand Cayman
This month on watches-dealer, we'd like to invite a lucky winner to join us learning to scuba dive and getting a diving certification courtesy of Oris watches. The winner will join us to the Island of Grand Cayman in the Caribbean Sea, located just south of Cuba and to the west of Jamaica. This will be an exclusive opportunity to experience the world of diving in a world-class venue with one of our favorite Swiss "tool watch" brands. Oris produces a handsome selection of professional divers' watches, and because we happen to love dive watches, we felt it was a good idea to explore them in their natural environment: under the water. Please note that this giveaway is open to US readers only, as per Oris' policy, as this trip is sponsored by Oris USA. The winner will receive an all-inclusive five night trip with airfare, hotel, and meals, along with an open water diving certification course in Grand Cayman C and you'll be joined by an watches-dealer team member. During that time, you'll be
Forged Carbon: Outside tough and inside not so?
Presently trying to get one of the remaining FC Divers - I have been speaking with the local AP rep (who sounded credible but I take his info with a grain of salt). He told me, that the FC cases are pretty tough at the outside, but more inside - the material is pretty grainy and soft.He told me, that AP replaces casemids and bezels for special prices because the material can't be polished ( I am sure that he's right on that). Now, I intend to wear the watch for some decades and would be disappointed, if the case gets softer when the edges are slightly worn off - so I wanted to ask the experts here if anyone has further infos on this topic.I've also heard about corrosion on FC but failed to find anything futher on that as well. Thanks!!!
2011 Omega Seamaster Planet oceans vs LE Liquid metal
2011 Omega Seamaster Planet oceans vs LE Liquid metalFrom what i have read the 2011 PO's will be 45.5mm, will they also be in 42mm? And when will they be made available at the stores? The titanium edition will have LM and by 45.5mm with the 8500 movement, come in blue - does anyone know if it will come in black? Also, I understand that all the 2011 PO's will have the 8500 movement? - with ceramic bezel, but no LM. Regarding the dial, will it have seamaster in red and black gloss dial?Apart from the case size, LE PO has LM in bezel and movement difference is there any difference between the Limited Edition LM and the new 2011 PO in black? and any ideas on store availability and prices?Appreciate there might be limited info on the new PO's. Thank you for any information you can lend.
111 gone...233 inbound
Hi everyone, So I did it! I had previously considered trading my BLNR towards the 233. However, after much soul searching and great input from all especially Pattyb69, rolexlover85, and Mr. Kram for helping me move forward in the process. I decided to trade my 111 instead. Can't wait for FedEx to get here on Monday. I conducted the trade with Gil known here as TWCNY. Pics of the incoming from his listing.
unfortunately selling my 233K
As much as I love this watch I have to sell it, It's hard for me being the kind of guy who buys watches to keep them, but unfortunately I fell in love with another watch which is very expensive, a Blancpain, and of course it is quite expensive even though I am getting a great deal with my favorite grey dealer plus detax since I live more than 6 months a year in Ukraine.I never thought I would one day sell some of my watches, I am also selling my Daytona 116515 rose gold with ceramic bezel, which I also love but the Blancpain being also rose gold I don't see myself having 2 gold watches, and anyways don't have the financial capacity to keep it and get the Bancpain, it's a heart breaker but I really fell for it.Has anyone here also had to sell watches that they love but to buy another that they love even more?
