Cartier Showcases Entire Fine Watchmaking Collection in Ten Locations
Cartier will preview their complete Fine Watchmaking Collection exclusively at ten locations throughout the United States for a limited time from October through March. The Cartier Fine Watchmaking collection timepieces are limited complications, and the entire collection is rarely seen in one location. The dates and locations are:

Movado Ferrari Watches
I was sort of under the impression that Hublot had the corner on this market, but whatever. Movado just announced that it signed a multi-year agreement with Ferrari?to make watches with the Ferrari and Scuderia names, as well as use the brand logos. How this ties into Hublot's assumed exclusive agreement is unclear to me. My theory is that Hublot has claim on all higher-end Ferrari watches, while the Movado deal is for more entry-level luxury watches. According to the announcement the Movado Ferrari watches will only cost up to 1,500 Euros. Set to arrive in 2013, the Ferrari collection of watches from Movado will take a lot of forms, the least of which will be this Movado Museum watch with a prancing pony in lieu of the sun.UPDATE: So Hublot was kind enough to clear some of the confusion around what seems to be competing contract agreements with Ferrari and watch makers. SalonQP 2011 Watch Show In London
While I won't be attending there this year (I did go last year), I do invite you to attend the 2011 annual SalonQP watch show event in London. The focus is on English watch makers, but that is just part of the show. For the third iteration of the event, the planners have moved it to the Saatchi Gallery in London and it will be held from November 10-12, 2011. Do check it out if you are in the area.

Incoming: Omega Speedmaster Pro
Hi everyone,I wanted to thank all the enablers who gave me great advice about the Omega Speedmaster Pro. I eventually decided to pursue the 3570.50. All of you were correct: Its an amazing watch and I absolutely adore it. The AD was kind enough to give me some promotional supplemental material about the Speedmaster Pro and its given me a chance to talk to my kids about the historical significance of this watch (I'm trying to convert my two tots into WIS!... However, I suspect that they simply love pushing the chrono buttons.... sigh).It runs a bit fast (+6 sec/day) but does it take time to settle?As well, could anyone recommend stores in the Toronto that sell leather straps for the Speedmaster Pro?
