Linde Werdelin Launches SpidoLite II
Linde Werdelin creates modern, industrial-looking timepieces with complex, angular cases that combine Danish design and Swiss craftsmanship. The new SpidoLite II updates the original’s look and feel, adding a seconds subdial and a date display that uses a laser-engraved ring that blends very nicely with the dial. Find wallpaper and pricing inside. The SpidoLite II case measures 44mm x 46mm and consists of 32 components that form two primary structures: a cylindrical chamber that carries the movement and locks on the sapphire crystal caseback, and a skeletonized outer case that surrounds the inner chamber and acts as the attachment point for the strap. The SpidoLite II case is created on two different 5-axis machines. Set-up takes a full working day. Each case goes through the 5-axis CNC machines before it is hand finished and ready for assembly. The dial consists of two skeletonized layers. The lower part carries the Linde Werdelin logo while the upper portion bears the indexes and
Concord C1 QuantumGravity Movement (And Whatever Upcoming Watch) Annoys Me
My problems with Concord all started with the "revitalization" of the brand a few years ago when the Concord C1 watch line was released. I wrote this article discussing how (and why) I didn't care for the design of the C1. The brand keeps coming out with new watches all based on the C1, some more hideous that others. Then came out the vertically aligned tourbillon watch, and most recently, the tourbillon version of the Concord C1 will be supplemented with this new movement, the C1 QuantumGravity - and I am thoroughly annoyed by it.It is funny, because other watches and watch companies do a lot of the same things that Concord is doing, but the marketing and attitude at Concord irks me the most. Namely, it is over-hyping and creating confusion around the new products that they release. Nothing about Concord's new watches impresses me. There is really nothing to impress anyone. They want you to think they have created the next great watch, but they haven't. They have just done the same th
Introducing: The Montblanc Collection Villeret Tourbillon Cylindrique Pocket Watch 110 Years Edition, And Navigator Unique Piece Nautical Clock
The navigation theme has been a pretty prominent one in Montblanc’s recent production – probably most visibly, in the watches named for the famous Portuguese explorer, Vasco da Gama – but this year Montblanc’s pretty much pulled out all the stops in making something that speaks both to the history of marine chronometers, as well as showcasing the artisanal side of watchmaking in the Montblanc portfolio as it exists at the Minerva movement manufacture (the counterpart to the somewhat larger scale production facility that Montblanc maintains in Le Locle). The Montblanc Collection Tourbillon Cylindrique Pocket Watch 110 Years Edition (with which Montblanc challenges Audemars Piguet for Brand That Gives The Longest Names To Its Watches) and the Montblanc Collection Tourbillon Cylindrique Pocket Watch 110 Years Edition Unique Piece (ditto) are triple time zone, world-time tourbillon pocket watches of really incredible beauty; the latter is paired with a pretty
Regarding 3513.50
All,I generally hang out in the vintage rolex section, but I have been asked to research a 3513.50 or 3570.50 by my sister in law as a birthday gift to her husband (my brother). I know nothing about Omega watches and I would like a brief history on these two models......provenance, vintage, production run, etc. According to my SIL, he seems to have searched more on the 3513.50 than the latter. Anything would be helpful, and any advice on searching for one would also be helpful. Pete
