The MB&F HM6 Space Pirate – Six Things to Know
Maximilian Bsser & Friends, better known as MB&F, debuted the Horological Machine 6 (aka “Space Pirate”, or simply HM6) last fall. This new model takes the domed look introduced with the HM3 “Frog” to new heights. MB&F timepieces are always creative on many levels. Here are six things to know about HM6. 1. InspirationThe HM6 design comes from a Japanese anime TV series from Max Bsser’s childhood called Capitaine Flam (or Captain Future in English). Capitaine Flam had a spaceship called the Comet that consisted of two spheres joined by a connecting tube. Bsser says he imagined combining two such craft, and the seeds of Space Pirate were planted. The gently curved lines of the case is inspired by the early 20th century art movement known as “biomorphism”, which emphasized naturally occurring shapes, including forms found in living creatures. MB&F cites as examples of this movement Matisse’s Le bonheur de vivre (The Joy o
New to watch collecting and need some buying advise
So I say I'm new to watch collecting because I never thought of it as collecting. Recently my teenager started getting into watches and he realized while I don't actually wear a watch all that often I happen to have a few from back in my going to an office daily days. So I took out the old watches and with some googling how some were still in style while others never became classics like my tricolor gold Rolex (yes it was tacky when I got it but weren't we all). I sold most of them and only kept the ones with sentimental value. Here is where I get to needing advise. I want to start wearing a watch again on a daily basis. So I want to get a new or slightly pre-owned one. I'm thinking of an PP aquanaut or AP Royal Oak. I have excluded wearing a PP Nautilus on a daily basis, too fragile and scratchable. I know I'm in the AP forum here, but I figure the PP one will always say buy a PP. One more thing, my son says I should just buy a new Blue Milgauss with green tint since I'm always

Quick Poll - gray unworn vs pre-owned AD sourced at same $$?
I hope you guys don't mind me asking for some quick advice:Thinking about getting a PM Daytona. I found 2 at decent prices. One is unworn gray market (no AD stamped), the other is pre-owned, mint and AD stamped still under warranty. The gray is actually slightly cheaper - about 5% less. Given the choice, which option would you prefer? My instinct is to take the pre-owned, but I can't even explain why to myself...
