Following in the footsteps of brands like Ralph Lauren, Herm��s and Louis Vuitton, all of which have made moves to enhance the perception of so-called fashion watches, the British fashion house Burberry is releasing a new high-end wristwatch collection with Swiss movements, called the Britain. Designed by Burberry’s chief creative director Christopher Bailey, the watches evoke the look of the brand’s most famous contribution to the fashion world, the iconic Burberry trench coat. The cases have a rounded octagonal shape and a multi-faceted three-part construction; four custom-designed bolts, inspired by the buttons on the trench coat and screwed down by hand, fasten the bezel to the case middle and caseback. The casebacks have a domed design inspired by those of classical British pocketwatches and, in the models with mechanical movements, see-through exhibition casebacks of sapphire crystal. I recently moved to Seattle and have been settling in. Fortunately I've already created a great relationship at Rurgeon Raine for all my Patek needs. My main concern right now is wear can I find AP?! I've never lived somewhere without an AP Boutique...or AD...Anyone want to chime in?! Thanks!

Case size comparison Patek 36mm or 37mm VS Rolex 36mm questions....?

Looking at acquiring my first Patek around Christmas or Chinese New Year. I currently work/live in southern China so going into Hong Kong is very convenient for me.I stepped into the Patek Boutique in HK to try on the models I'm looking at and to get pricing. They offered 10% discount without much effort but I would prefer to go through someone's trusted AD if possible.Does anybody have one they can refer me to?Thanks in advance.

I did something silly today
I had some time to kill before meeting some people for lunch (anyone in Melbourne - make sure you have a burger at Merrywell) - so I stopped by the AD to get a feel for the size of a nautilus and how it would wear on my wrist.They had a 5726 in the window, so I asked to try that on. I shouldn't have done that.. I managed through a massive force of will to drag myself out of the shop, but I am going to be thinking about it for a long time.At least they didn't have a 5711 in stock, that could have been an expensive burger lunch! Also, the attendant there mustn't deal with their Patek stock all that often. Maybe they have different staff on the weekends. They didn't know anything about when the 5227's would be available here (fair enough), but first tried telling me they had one and sold it late last year! I politely suggested that perhaps they meant the 5127..
