AP Diver: Adjusting the bezel under water...
Hi all, while researching about the AP Diver before buying it, one thing that came up time after time, review after review, was that it was not such a good diving watch as you could not adjust the timing bezel underwater, due to the fact that it would involve unscrewing the 10 O'clock crown, and that would let water in the case. I'm sure you've heard that before...BUT, guess what I just found on the AP documentation? When I start talking about my 5402 with folks - even watch guys (I've never actually met anyone in the flesh who could appreciate it) - I see a lot of smirks, a lot of eye rolling and a lot of impatient looks as I struggle for words.I usually end up somewhere between, It changes to way you look at watches,to, it completely recalibrates your conception of aesthetics.It's because the 5402 goes so far beyond what I knew a watch, indeed any tangible object, save one*, was capable of. What's the exception? I'll get there in a second...The complexity and detail of the case design. The richness of the dial. The perfection of the execution of the finish. You can keep throwing words out there, and they help, certainly, but they don't suffice. Indeed, even the best photographs - and I have seen some incredible ones - help one tremendously to understand the 5402 but even they don't quite suffice. Strap advice for slate dial patek, in particular 5146
I purchased a preowned 5146p from an AD this fall. It came on a grey strap that was too big for my wrist. I didn't like the grey strap anyway- it made the face look a little dull imo. As a temporary measure, they swapped the strap with a black one from another 5146p that fit better though was still too big, and offered to order 2 new straps of my choosing. For the first of my new straps, I opted for a matte navy blue. After a five month wait (!) since extra short is a custom order I got the strap fitted at Henri Stern today. Unfortunately, I don't love it, though I like it better than either the grey or the black. It looks much more grey than the samples I had seen and the watch face still doesn't pop as much as I would like. For my second strap, I am leaning towards matte chocolate. It seems to be able to dress up or down, while being a light enough color to allow the slate face to stand out. Thoughts? Any advice from owners of 5146G slate or 5146P would be appreciated! I

Swap bracelets between BLNR and 116234
Hi guys.I own a Batman and a 36mm 116234 DJ the former having the new oyster bracelet and the latter the Super Jubilee. Wishing to swap between the two, can someone confirm that it can be done, and provide the serials for any parts needed.My understanding is that I will need new end links for both watches and in particular the 502T for the Batman. Correct?What end links would be needed for the DJ?Thanks!
