Just bought my 1st AP - and have a few questions
Hello everyone,Very happy to join the forums! My name is Larry and I just picked up my first AP.Which is also my first high end time piece. It's a stainless steel 44mm ROOI'm learning a lot from browsing the forums, but still have some questions I'm trying to get answered. So hoping someone more knowledgable can help me out.My first question is about the lume.Out of the box the watch appears to have none.It only glows after I hold it to direct light for a bit.If I wear it during the day, it doesn't glow at night....only if I charge it by holding it up to a light. Is this normal/common for a brand new watch? My second question pertains to the watch running a few seconds fast each day.I set the time to match the time.gov website24 hours later I see that it was 20 seconds ahead. Is this also normal, or something that I should bring in to get checked out.And lastly, my third question is about a watch winder.I wear this maybe once or twice a week. I don't mind the watch dying and then winding i
43mm Navitimer 01 vs 46mm
I'm going to buy one of the two and I'm struggling with this decision. I like the presence that the 46mm provides as well as the sapphire case back but I worry that the 46 size could look dated a few years down the road. Any thoughts?

Bluesy looked like this !!! I think I'm starting to fall out of passion with TT !!! I don't know what happened... I had a BLNR and let it go with no regrets... Yes, I still think it's a great watch but I didn't miss it that much ... I find myself wearing the SD4K more and hardly wearing the blue sub ...The SD4K is my first all SS with black Dial and bezel Rolex and I feel quite enamored with it . I've tried the 116610 LN at my AD quite awhile back and felt nothing. What is it about the sea dweller? I'm sure I'd love the SD 43 50th Anniversary no doubt as well ... I really like the raised crystal with a clean look to it . The graduated bezel is very symmetrical and proportionate giving it anice clean look like the ND Sub C... Slimmer lugs and Great wrist presence too !!! I don't understand what's happening, I think my tastes could be changing... I still think the Bluesy is a great watch , maybe I might be toning down my flavor as I get older ... I thought it's supposed to be the other wa
14060 for 114060
Have been thinking about it for one year now and finally pulled the trigger on moving my 114060 for a 14060 (box + papers as well!). I am loving the 5 digit reference and look forward to continuing in this crazy world of Rolex
Trying on a few grails...
Picked up a D-Blue today and thought I'd try on a few grails at the AD again. I've never taken the PM Rolex plunge, but I want to really badly after this visit:
