Bravur Watches Review
Occasionally we come across brands that challenge the notions we have regarding watches and value. In the conversations we have, it's easy to overlook perhaps one of the most critical aspects of any watch, and dismiss it as not being a core value adder. That facet of a watch is simply design. A general term unto itself, this includes everything from the fine details to overall aesthetic to branding. It's so easy to get caught up in what movement is inside, what material is X or Y, we overlook that a watch's design might be derivative or a bit generic. We strive to look at an eclectic array here on w&w, but how often do we relate a detail to something from another watch, another point in time? Don't get me wrong, that approach has great value as well and I often love many of those watches, but isn't there and implicit value in something new? Forged carbon durability
Just wondering how the forged cases are holding up. I know there were some issues with the grand prix, alinghi, and bumblebee with unusual wear and discoloration, but was wondering if this resolved. Mainly interested in the FC diver or bee. Thanks

Impossible to get a 5711 from an AD?
OK, I need some help with this: I'd like to purchase a 5711 with a blue dial but I don't see how this is possible unless I want pay considerably higher than retail.Tell me if I'm wrong but it seems like every watch that I see on TRF or elsewhere has been purchased from an AD (at an inflated cost) and then is offered for sale at an even higher price. I don't blame the grey market dealers for wanting to make a profit so I'll have to put the blame on the ADs who take delivery of these watches and, despite legitimate cash-in-hand clients who have been on waiting lists for years, turn around and sell them at a higher profit than they would net from selling to regular people. I'm sure that Patek Philippe doesn't like this and neither do I. I realize I'm whining here but that's the way I see it. Agree or disagree?
